Owen's BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Absolutely delicious! Made the sauce at night and let chicken breasts marinade overnight in the fridge. They were so juicy off of the grill and the BBQ sauce has the best flavor! Don't forget to reserve some of the marinade to baste the chicken on the grill with!

Mouthwatering Whiskey Grill Glaze

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
This was delicious! Made it exact and watched it the entire time it was cooking on the stove so there were no accidents. My husband absolutely love this and he is a very picky man! Much easier than I thought it would be and a wonderful taste!

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
This was an excellent recipe and we loved the base flavor. We like spicy food so I added some red pepper flakes and more garlic. With just those minor substitutions it had a great kick to it and was a hit!

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Absolutely delicious and a very light taste for summer cooking. I did double the amount of liquid in the crock pot to cook though. For a richer, creamier taste to the sauce (and to thicken it a bit) we experimented with some sour cream & cornstarch and it came out wonderfully. Will definitely be making this again!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
This was absolutely amazing! We followed the recipe exactly since it was our first time with this recipe and I wouldn't change a thing! The spare ribs might be more money but they are worth it since we have never had such success with using a roast. This will definitely be made many more times!

Artichokes in a Garlic and Olive Oil Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
Excellent! We have made this numerous times now and my husband is always asking for it! Just had to change a few things for our tastes: We use half of the butter/oil and it is still more than enough, we use a little bit more pasta and a LOT more garlic! We love garlic though, so we really load it on. A great recipe to make after a day at work!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
Very good but I would prefer tomato sauce in them over the tomato soup. You could definitely taste the soup very strongly. However, this is a great recipe to use and tweak to your own tastes!

Slow-Cooked White Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
A great chili recipe to start with. I followed some suggestions here and added a can of beans that I mashed up. Otherwise, I feel that it would be more like a chicken and bean soup and too thin for a chili. We also like our chili a little more zippy so I was very liberal with some more spices, including doubling the green chiles, adding chili powder and a lot of tabasco sauce as it was cooking. I have made this numerous times and my co-workers loved it a party we recently had. Definitely worth trying & tweaking!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
Absolutely excellent! Went together really fast and the taste was wonderful! We left out anything that had the word "salt" in it since we're not big fans of salty tastes, and split the cream with sour cream but otherwise followed the recipe except for using more pasta. Excellent!! Will definitely make this again.

Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
This was really dense and a lot more like a cake than a bread. We were really not big fans of this recipe, it seemed like it had too much oil in it to be a bread.

Beef Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
Delicious! Everything my husband and I like to eat in one easy meal! We did add black beans to the beef mixture though. I think that in the future I would add more spice to the mixture, in the form of garlic, onion and diced green chili peppers. A great weeknight meal!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2010
Absolutely delicious! For having no butter, a low amount of sugar and oil per loaf and also not too many eggs, this bread is delicious and super moist! I had it in the fridge for over a week and it was just as good on the last day as it was on the first! I did add raisins also, but that was the only modification I made. I will definitely be using this recipe again!

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2010
These were amazingly good and another recipe to use my homemade pesto in! We used thick slices of cheese and it was a little too much. A lot of it baked out into the pan and didn't stay in the roll. Also, next time I will make my pesto with a little less oil as this also baked out into the pan. Otherwise, this is a great dish that will definitely be made again!

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

These were excellent and very filling! My husband is a huge meat eater and he didn't mind that these were vegetarian. A great way to introduce a meatless meal into the rotation!

San Antonio Taco Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
The salad bowl was not as easy to make in my opinion but my husband and I both agree that this is the best Taco Salad mix we have tried so far. The mix has a lot of zip to it and we loved it! Very tasty!
