Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
I made this recipe and only changed it by adding a dash of hot sauce. It came out awesome. The next night I added a small can of mexican corn & a can of blk beans, put it in a tortilla & topped it with shredded cheese. It was as good, if not better, than the original recipe & a very easy dinner. I will definitely be making this again & again. so simple to make & very good!!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
I was skeptical on cooking the meat this way. I cooked the 2 lb eye of the round for 14 mins & then left it in the oven for 2 1/2 hrs. It came out perfect..Lt pink all the way through. My husband said this is the best roast beef I've ever cooked. Thanks for such an easy recipe. I won't cook my roast beef any other way now

Super Easy Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
This was one of several appetizers I made for the Super Bowl. I used Granny Smith & red delicious apples, watermelon & cantelope. Everyone enjoyed the dip so much I had to cut up more fruit. We really enjoyed this recipe & so easy. Like many others suggested I used 2 containers of yogurt (I used orange creme..umm good!). This is something I will make many times again trying different kinds of yogurt..Thanks for a great recipe

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
I made this as one of my Super Bowl appetizers. I had never had them before but after reading the reviews I knew I had to try them. Plus I wanted to make something that could be made up ahead. I cut the bacon in 3rds, layed the brown sugar on the bacon & then rolled up the smokie & secured with a toothpick. I lined a baking sheet with greased tin foil & popped them in the oven when the Super Bowl started. They were done in about 50 mins. I also made the dip listed on this site. These were devoured in no time @ all & I was asked if I had any more!! Since they are not the healthiest thing to eat I won't make them often but I will definitely make them again.

Cherries in the Snow Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
This is a very quick, easy to make & great tasting cake to make when you have little time to make something more elaborate. I used cherry chip cake mix which was delish. I also added some cool whip to the vanilla pudding mix. One word of advise I used an 8x12 pan which isn't large enough. There wasn't enough room to use all the pudding mix without spilling over the sides! I would try making this again possibly with chocolate cake..umm choc cake with cherries:)

Vegetable Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
Loved, loved, loved this chowder. Using others suggestion, I increased the water another cup and cut back on the cheese. I also added a can of corn which added some sweetness. Excellent and as stated by others I'm sure most any veggie would work...
