About this Cook
I love to cook anything that is quick and easy, but I like to cook something special every now and then. I am definitely not afraid of a challenge.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook stir fry, on the grill, simple roasted meats with veggies, and anything in the slow cooker.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in a Polish tradition so we had a lot of meat and potatoes. My husband's family always serves pretty much the same food at every occasion. Therefore I am trying to spice it up in my own kitchen and for my guests.
My cooking triumphs
I made homemade lemon meringue pie, apple pie, lasagna and many others. I can make meatloaf and meatballs like my mother.
My cooking tragedies
One lemon chicken was way too lemony and the broccoli in the dish was ruined by the lemon juice.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
Very good as written. I didn't have leftover ham, but wanted to try this recipe so I bought prepared diced ham. Next time I might add diced carrots and cheese like some other reviewers.

Perfect Baked Potato
Perfect potato with increasing temp to 375 for large potatoes for only 1hr. The skin wasn't crisp though.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
Wonderful! So many rave reviews and compliments on this pumpkin bread. I omitted the cloves because I didn't have any. Reduced sugar and will replace 1/2 the oil with applesauce. Made 2 9x5 loaves at a little over 50 minutes.
