Crawfish Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2003
Loved this recipe. It was so easy to make and absolutely delicious. A real crowd pleaser. I am actually considering the idea of making it as a topping for fresh broiled fish. It's rich in taste, and I think will serve well as a broiled fish topping...possibly adding conch and/or scallops and shrimp. I live in Florida and fresh fish is a necessity here. Serving this recipe as such a topping could be a very impressive addition. I highly recommend this one to anyone who is looking for an impressive chowder recipe to serve. YUM!

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2001
Having grown up in the south on BBQ, I know good sauce. And this my friend is a keeper of a recipe! I made it tonight to jar, "put up" (as we say in the south), as a homemade Christmas present for my outdoorsy hunter/fisherman brother. I can't wait to hear his reaction upon using it. I used Jim Beam Whiskey and Jim Beam Hot Sauce. I also used 1/2 tsp. black pepper and 1/2 tsp. cayenne to give it a little "kick". Loved the final outcome. Sweet from the brown sugar, yet fiesty from the hot pepper sauce and cayenne, as well as a wonderful flavor and aroma from the garlic. Thanks for sharing this one, Kevin.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2001
I was planning to post this recipe myself, but when I reviewed the listing of Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes, I see the one I have is posted here...identically. I've had this recipe for years, and it is truly the absolute BEST Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe out there! I feel it's because of the addition of the vanilla pudding to the mix. Kudos to Debbie for posting this one. Enjoy!

Lasagna Alfredo Roll Ups

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2001
I made this recipe for my Bunco group. Everyone wanted to know where on earth I had gotten the recipe. It received nothing but wonderful remarks, and nothing was left in the pan at the end of the night. It would be my preference to add pepperoni slices on top of the cheese mixture, as well as adding some of the mozzarella cheese inside too, just before rolling up each noodle, and using a red sauce instead of an alfredo sauce as a 2nd version of this recipe. I mentioned this to my Bunco group, but they all thought it was perfect just the way it was prepared. Anyhow, for an addition of a type of meat...that's what I would suggest. Either way, it was a HUGE hit and most delicious. Thanks for sharing this one!:)

Bacon Roll Ups I

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2001
I made this recipe for a Bunco party I hosted early last week. BIG hit! They were gone before I could get everything on the table, with several attendees wanting the recipe. I then made them as a snack treat/appetizer for Thanksgiving. Again, a BIG hit! My 9-year old nephew asked for more when they were gone, and asked that I make him is very own bag to take home with him when he left that upcoming Saturday. My other nephew's friend who was in attendance asked for the recipe to take home to his mother. Now...my friends have requested this to be made for 2 separate Christmas parties I will be attending during the month of December. Sooo...I would highly recommend this to anyone. Note: While making my nephew's "personal" order, the day after Thanksgiving, I was unable to find the Pepperidge Farm Sandwich Bread because my grocery store was out of it due to the holiday. That bread makes a definite difference...a must! Also, I spread the cream cheese spread on the bread slices BEFORE cutting the pieces of bread into 3 separate sections. This just saved some time and made the process a little easier. Thanks for an awesome, most unique appetizer!:)
