White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
I loved this, as did everyone else! Very easy to make! Something to remember though: Don't cut down the chilling time dramatically. I was running out of time, and so it got to chill in the fridge for about 2 hours. When it came time to cut, the middle was runny even though a toothpick came out clean. We ate some, chilled it overnight, and it firmed up very nicely. I used the one reviewers suggestion of jam, so I heated some raspberry jam and strained it, and it was amazing!

Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
Amazing! I made these for the first time to take over to my mother in law's for a family get together. They got rave reviews! I made these and a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake which is what they usually request, and these were done first. Everyone asked for the recipe. Definitely a make again! I read reviews of the crust being overwhelming, so I made a half recipe of crust and baked it in a 8 inch pan. Full recipe of filling. I was very concerned, since it was incredibly runny. It baked up in 30 min though, and was great! I forgot the icing sugar on top. Definitely do try this recipe though, and adjust according to your crust/filling ratio preference!

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
I don't rate much 5 stars. We ALL loved this!! I used 4 boneless chicken breast halves, but we like things quite flavorful so i ran out of spice mix and made more till I could cover them well with it then rubbed it in as well as I could. I didn't have garlic cloves so I used quite a bit of garlic powder, and exchanged the water and bouillon for chicken broth, as per other reviews. I added an extra dash of lemon juice, since I love the lemony taste. Will make frequently, a new favorite!! Thanks!!

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
I made this today, following other suggestions of doubling the cinnamon mixture and mixing it with brown sugar. I don't have patience when there's yummy smelling food on my counter, so there was no sitting overnight in foil. It was AMAZING!! And so easy to make! The reason I only gave it 4 stars is I think it could use a little fine tuning. Next time I want to try adding some apple. Thanks!!

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
We didn't love it. I live in a remote area, so I made my own bread crumbs. That part was good, we just didn't feel like it was amazing. However, my picky 8 year old loved it. Go figure. Rated it 4 stars because of how quick and easy it was to make. Would make again if I needed something super quick and easy, but that's it.

Fresh Summer Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
I tried this with a lot of doubts. The only reason I make a sauce for fruit salad is to prevent browning, and I was out of some ingredients for my usual sauce. I was skeptical as to whether or not it really would prevent fruit from browning, the taste, and the texture of mashed rhubarb. Well, it did an excellent job of preventing browning, the texture was actually really good, and the taste... Well, over half of the people I served it to said it was the best fruit salad they had tasted! I cooked the rhubarb according to recipe, and poured it over a nice mix of in season fruits. I poured in enough rhubarb sauce to nicely cover the fruit but not enough for it to really collect in the bottom. Then I used the rest of the sauce over waffles the next morning!! Amazing, thanks!
