Plain Cake Doughnuts

Additionally, I needed to roll to 1/2 inch not 1/4 thickness in order to make a doughnut with decent height.

The benefit of these is that they are very quick and easy and produce excellent results. I feel the fluffy pacakes (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/fluffy-pancakes-2/detail.aspx) still taste better and produce a taller pancake but require more prep work.

Fluffy Pancakes

Excellent! "Fluffy" is correct! Best recipe out of the dozen recipes tried so far. Produces a taller pancake that the standard (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/pancakes-i/detail.aspx), or the dozen or so that we've ever tried but requires more prep work. Serving count is accurate.

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

Classic Waffles

Quick and easy. Not as light as the egg separated/whipped whites version. 4 for taste/texture but 5 because of ease of prep. Our 8 yr. old can make these on her own for us. We found the batter on the thick side and upped the milk to 2c instead of 1.5c, and it was still plenty thick enough. The standard recipe for 5 made 6 thick Belgian waffles for us.

Waffles I

Quick, easy and doesn't stick. Fluffy enough. Just need 1 ladle full for 1 belgian waffle. It looks thin, but expands to fill the chamber.

Savory Breakfast Muffins

Nice breakfast alternative. Great with some bacon inside and also using bacon fat. Does seem a little dry, but that is always expected with corn breads.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Bacon, onions and garlic really add to this dish. Make sure you don't make it in advance since the sprouts will continue to further brown (oxidize?) and look unappetizing. Fresh from the oven they look great though.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Really thick and tall. A very simple recipe. We had to add 1/2 cup more milk to water it down, but it was still a very thick batter.

Simply the Best Fresh Uncooked Cranberry Sauce

Incredibly easy, quick and super tasty! Try it and you won't go back. This one brings out the true cranberry flavour without the pinapple and apple nuances of the other recipe found here.
