Chicken Tikka Masala
Excellent recipe with one glaring exception. NO garam masala in a chicken "masala" recipe? Add 2 teaspoons of garam masala to the recipe. Please note the "salt to taste". MUCH less salt than the maximum is needed for this recipe. After making these changes to the recipe it has become a favorite. Not quite the taste of the authentic Indian restaurant in town, but very good.

Easter Eggs
My 6yr old grandaughter gave me a great idea for avoiding the huge mess dipping the eggs in chocolate was causing. After we formed the eggs using a plastic easter egg as a mold, we were going to put them into the freezer to freeze when my grandaughter (she obviously got her brains from MY side of the family) asked me why we didn't just put a toothpick in the top of each one before we freeze it. Now we had a wonderful handle frozen into the eggs to use for dipping them and once pulled out afterwards left only a small hole easily filled afterwards.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Fabulous every time and so incredible easy most people say, "no way" when I give them the recipe and instructions. To those that say theirs came out runny, I suspect they tried to use "red delicious" apples or the like instead of granny smith apples. Not only are those apples much to sweet but they turn into a watery mush when cooked. I like my apple pie a bit tart because I like to put vanilla ice cream on top so I cut the white sugar in half, and I also add 1/2t of nutmeg.
