Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
This was really tasty and easy to prepare. I assembled the tomato mixture a few hours ahead of time and then finished it right before my guests arrived. Thanks for the recipe!

Pork Chops with Apples, Onions, and Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
I took the advice of another reviewer and dumped all of these ingredients in the crockpot. I cooked it on low for 6 1/2 hours. Was delicious!

Garlic Cheese Quick Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This was okay. It had more of a garlicky flavor rather than cheesy. I made them into mini muffins (baked at same temp for 15 mins).

Apricot Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
This has a nice flavor overall. I went with other suggestions and added the extra 1 tbsp of butter and 3 tbsp of oj. This wasn't the best quick bread recipe I've ever tasted but we enjoyed it.

Red Cabbage Salad II

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
I bought a bag of shredded red cabbage on sale at the store so this is the recipe I decided to use with it. I halved the recipe. I enjoyed the flavor but next time I would add a little less oil. I would prefer a little bit stronger taste of vinegar and spices and a less oily texture. My husband added more black pepper to his. Overall, a good recipe though. Thanks!

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
I made this exactly as recipe states except used spaghetti noodles instead of the penne. I thought it was bland and definitely could have used some seasoning. It was disappointing...

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
These were quite tasty, however I only used 2 large chicken breasts, 1 large bell pepper, and 1 onion (me and my husband) but kept the original amount of marinade. I don't think that there would be enough marinade if using 8 breasts. Very good flavor though!

Spinach and Leek White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
This was pretty good but it's not something I'd crave or make again necessarily. I followed the recipe exactly. Once dished up, I added some crushed red pepper to mine. I also think it would be good with some Parmesan cheese or bacon.

Basic Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
I decided to make these on a whim when I didn't want to buy any of the processed cornbread mixes. These were great! So easy and sweet, but not too sweet. Thanks!

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
This was okay. I added some diced red onion and some cilantro to give it a little more flavor. Not the best I've ever had but really easy to throw together.

Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
This was delicious! I served it over a spinach salad with strawberries, bacon, and feta cheese. Be warned that it does have a strong flavor profile (which I happen to like). Thanks for the great recipe!

Pistachio Mini Loaves

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
These were so easy and very good. Great to give as gifts since they are mini loaves. I ended up using four 8 x 2 x 3 inch instead of 5 smaller ones because I used disposable pans to give away and that is what the grocery store had. It is very moist and the texture is cake light but it is not too sweet. Thanks for the great recipe!

Patti's Mussels a la Mariniere

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
This was fantastic!! I used frozen mussels in the shell and that was the only thing I changed. Will definitely make again! Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Tzatziki Sauce I

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
I decreased the amount of garlic and it was still very strong and sharp tasting. I will reduce it more next time. I also added some finely diced cucumbers. The next day, I added the olive oil ( I left it out originally due to other's comments on the thinness of this) and milk to thin it out and made a tasty salad dressing with it.

Espinacas con Garbanzos (Spinach with Garbanzo Beans)

We thought this was fantastic! I didn't change a thing. It was served with some grilled salmon and shrimp and rice. Will definitely be a keeper. Thanks for the great recipe!

Banana Muffins I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
These are nice and moist. I actually baked this in loaf pan instead of doing muffins. Not too sweet. I used low fat sour cream. These are nice if you are watching your calories and fat.

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
This had a wonderful flavor. Next time, we might prebake the crust for a few minutes before topping just to make sure that the bottom isn't soggy and the toppings aren't burnt. We came close to that happening but it turned out okay. Thanks for the great recipe!

Cindy's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
This needed a lot of extra cajun seasoning in my opinion. I ended up adding more than a half a teaspoon more than what was called for and still had to add Tabasco sauce to give it the heat we are used to in a jambalaya. I used just shrimp to cut back on calories. It also took longer for the rice to cook and absorb all the liquid that was called for. It was a good basic recipe but I think it needs something a little extra.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
This was okay. My husband liked it more than I did. I had to substitute Italian seasoning for the basil because that's what I had on hand. I also added some mushrooms to the marinade and grilled them alongside the steaks. It was great on the mushrooms.

Creamy Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
My husband loved this more than I did, but it was so quick and easy to put together. I halved the recipe since it is just the two of us. I'll keep this in my box for an easy go to casserole.
