Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
Great! I boiled the carrots and celery in apple juice and put a whole chicken in the pressure cooker. I added everything together before putting in the pie shell. I also added a little left over mashed potatoes!! So good, thank you!

I used whole wheat flour and brown sugar. I added oatmeal, honey, and dried cranberries. They were so great. Really light and fluffy. I will make again and again.

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
This is a dense cake. I only used 1 cup sugar, 2 is just too much. I baked it in a bunt pan but I think this recipe would make better muffins than cake. I would suggest using more than 1/2 cup of the puree.

Samoan Panikeke

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
These were super yummy. Definitely drop the dough in smaller portions. They won't cook through otherwise. I used about a half a tablespoon of dough. They are ready to flip when the edges get hard, like a pancake. I didn't have any vanilla extract so I used almond. Make sure the oil temp is just below 350.

Angel Food Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
I was really skeptical while I was making this. It stuck to the pan slightly and when you fold the flour into the eggs it doesn't really dissolve. However, the cake was SO awesome. Highly recommend. You can cut the sugar down, it was pretty sweet.

This is awesome...four men just demolished the entire pot. I used roasted chilies and cyan pepper instead.

Italian Sausage Soup

Yummy...I doubled the broth and used veggie stock. I added a can of corn (drained)and some onions. It was very good. It makes a good amount so be ready for left overs. This will go into my recipe rotation!

Southern Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
I followed the recipe exactly and it was absolutly great. I made it for a work party and people went crazy. The seasoning made it spicy so tone it down if you prefer. I cooked it on a Sunday night, let it sit in the fridge over night and warmed it the next day for the party. I think is needs to sit overnight after you pull it so it can soak up the flavor.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
This was really easy and very tasty. I suggest breaking up the chicken when you add the biscuts so that the chicken can get more of the sauce. Otherwise the inside of the chicken is dry. I also cut the time by one hour.

Rum Cake I

I left out the topping and used powdered sugar. It was a good cake and really moist with lots of flavor. I froze it for 3 days and let it thaw out during the day. Really good! Thanks!

Gnocchi Bake

Reviewed: May 1, 2005
This perfect as is. I have made it three times already and every time it is sooo good. This is a winner. I used my home made sauce that has a lot of garlic in it so if yours doesn't I would suggest adding some. Give this a shot - it is yummy!

Chicken Casserole Del Sol

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2004
I made this for a family that I cook for. They suggested doubling the sauce or decreasing the pasta. They also suggested NOT freezzing it. Otherwise it was good. I also found that the recipe makes more than a 13x9 pan so either have two casserole pan ready or decrease it. Thanks for submiting it.

Apple Muffins

Very good. I took the advice of others and used 2 cups of apples and 2 T of cinnamon. Before going into the oven I spinkled some brown sugar on top. They were so good. I made them a bit smaller so I could have a larger amount. Thank you!

Strawberries and Cream Cake

This cake looks better than it taste. I found it to be doughy and the frosting was a complete failure. If you make it, I would have a frosting back up to use.
