Butternut Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
definently take advice of using half the sugar the recipe called for!!!! it is sweet with even 1/2 c sugar. I used splenda brown sugar blend for topping with plain graham crackers. Added cinnamon & nutmeg. Dinner guests thought it was delicious & it was a hit with these modifications. I really would not use 1 cup sugar. I also used frozen boxed squash that was already precooked & mashed (used 3 boxes). so much easier than making your own squash.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
was a HIT on thanksgiving. do NOT bother making this if you are a creamy, melted oozing macaroni & cheese lover (Like velveeta shells or kraft). this is not that kind of mac n cheese. this is "drier" & more gourmet.was told @ dinner that this recipe was like something they would serve @ steak house. very tasty. healthier because no eggs/cream & option to use lowfat/nofat ingredients.I did add milk & processed cheese. Make sure you put under boiler last few minutes..makes a wonderful yummy crispy top.

Zucchini-Coconut Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
these were good but won't make again. i was looking for a "homerun" recipe & this was only a single or a double. shared with a large group of people..not 1 person asked for the recipe. but was still a fun recipe to try. do NOT omit the topping. that was the best part.

Texas Slaw

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
2 jalapenos too much. VERY spicy.I love it spicy but if making for a crowd, use only 1 jalapeno to appease everyone. also cut back some on cilantro if not cilantro taste overwhelming. very good cole slaw! added onions. good recipe but just cut back on jalapenos!!!

Elaine's Sweet and Tangy Loose Beef BBQ

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
This was a big hit with my guests. Didn't change much except took the advice from other members..used 1/2 BBQ sauce & 1/2 ketchup and put in onions. I also made extra sauce..didn't seem like it was enough sauce. Thanks for the recipe. This one is worth the effort.

Blue Cheese Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
I did not like this at all! sorry. the mustard was way overpowering..I even added more sugar & blue cheese. I would use less mustard..I do have to say my guests really liked it but I won't be making it again.
