Buttery Soft Pretzels

This recipe went pretty well for me: it was the VERY FIRST time I ever used yeast and I really had no clue what I was doing. Because I was not baking for many people, and because of my lack of confidence in yeast-baking skills, I halved the recipe. It worked out just fine! Had some problems with the yeast rising (even after placing in warm area as instructions said) but I cooked it at 420 and they tasted very good. It is satisfying to have a recipe go well, so thank you so much!
