Restaurant-Style Tequila Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
I have been making this recipe for a long time and it is still a family favorite! I suggest you use 4 times the tequila it calls for, it gives it more flavor--we call it Baja Chicken at our house instead of Tequila Lime Chicken, more kid friendly! I also just use Pace Picante Sauce or I will pick up the fresh salsa made in the grocery store and combine with the sour cream and mayo--it is much easier and tastes the same. Fabulous recipe, I will continue to make it again and again!

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
This was not as good as I had hoped, it was just okay. It was more of a dark chocolate flavor, a little bitter tasting. If you are looking for a dark chocolate flavor, you will love this. If you are looking for more of a fudge flavored frosting try the recipe Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting--it is amazing!

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
This is fantastic! Very rich, perfect for frosting a yellow cake. I recommend it, I added an additional 1/2 cup of confectioners' sugar and it made it better.

Four Egg Yellow Cake

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
This was fantastic! This was the first time I made a yellow cake from scratch and it was for my husband's birthday! I was nervous it wouldn't turn out yummy so I made two different recipes.....this one was the best!! I recommend this recipe to even the novice baker--that is what I am! I did use cake flour instead of all purpose flour and sifted the flour, baking powder and salt together. This was very light, fluffy and tasted spectacular!! It was a hit with my whole family! I used a chocolate frosting from here also, it is titled Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting and it was perfect with the cake. The frosting is very rich so you only need a thin layer. I will use this recipe over and over!

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
I made this and followed the directions exactly. It turned out really good, not at all corn bread-y as others have said. It was the first time I have made a yellow cake from scratch and it was for my husband's birthday so I made two different recipes. I liked the other recipe a little better, it is called Four Egg Yellow Cake and the recipe is here at allrecipes.com as well. I paired the cake with a chocolate frosting recipe found on here also, it is titled Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting. I recommend the other cake with this frosting, but this one was also very tasty!
