Kristen's Awesome Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2002
My 15 year old son made these and we both loved them. He has tried many oatmeal cookie recipes, and we agreed this is probably the best. I really liked the chewy texture.

Excellent--fish came out so moist, with a great flavor. We really liked it.

Barbecue Ribs

Fantastic sauce! My teenagers finished the ribs while I was marinating them. I never got to the grilling part.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
This is excellent! Everyone loves it and it is definitely addictive! My only suggestions are: 1)Put it in a deep pan, like a roaster, instead of a jelly roll pan. The first time I made it I used jelly roll pans and every time I stirred, I had popcorn everywhere. 2)Use a 1-1/2 qt. saucepan for the sugar mixture--smaller makes it boil over when adding the soda, and larger makes it harder to get it all out.

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2003
This tasted great. It was far too much pudding for me, though. I made the filling and opted to put only 3/4 of it in. Next time, I would halve the filling. The next day mine was soggy.I probably should have let the filling thicken more. Also, would agree with other reviewers to put in two small pans.

Peanut Butter Cookies IX

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2004
Great flavor, but I found them to be dry. The dough crumbled when I put them on the cookie sheet. I also thought the cookies tasted dry. I used regular oats. If I tried them again I would decreased the oats to see if they would be more moist.

Yeast Raised Christmas Waffles

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2003
This recipe was okay, but not any better than the "Everyday Waffles" from Better Homes & Gardens and much more time consuming. I used unsalted butter and would use salted if I made it again. Mine did not brown evenly, and as another reviewer said, were soft.
