Chicken Tetrazzini IV

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
This was quick and easy to make. I didn't change a thing and it turned out great. EVERYone in my family loved it...which is a feat in itself (they even ignored the mushrooms). There are so few meals I can make which all my picky eaters mutually enjoy. This recipe has been added to the few recipes that will allow for a nice family dinner together. Thanks!

Toasted Garlic Bread

Awesome! Goodbye Texas toast. Served this at an Italian dinner party, and everyone wanted the recipe and wanted to make a meal off this bread alone.

Cheesy Pizza Dip

If you're expecting a pizza flavor, you will be disappointed. If you're expecting something different and yummy this is Excellent. More of a southwestern dip without the kick. Very addictive!!!

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
This was excellent. I made it for an italian dinner party and everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. I used fresh tomatoes because other reviews said this was a must...don't know if it's true or not. I used fresh sausage tortellini and think it could've been left out as it didn't add anything special other than eye appeal. Maybe cheese tortellini would've been better, but I'd leave it out to save on cost. **Update, I make this all the time and find adding tortellini a waste of tortellini. The soup is too good without it. Use the tortellini as a side dish.

Blueberry 'S' Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
Yummy! One can wasn't enough...two cans was too much...and I'm not sure it was "drainable". I used a pie shell from the store and topped with oatmeal "crust." It turned out wonderfully, goooooey delicious blueberries with a big oatmeal cookie baked on top. Delish!

Szechwan Shrimp

Excellent flavor with such simple ingredients--fast and easy--will make over and over with shrimp, chicken, pork, you name it! Add some veggies and rice for a complete meal -- Definitely a sauce to keep on hand.

Baked Beans, Texas Ranger

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
I brought these to an elderly picnic and thus left out the cayenne and used regular sausage links. I received a few compliments. My husband enjoyed the sweetness of them. I thought they were too sweet, but I used brown sugar Splenda (less than called for) & Splenda may be sweeter than the real thing. I used more chili powder and vinegar than called for to cut back on the sweetness and did not find them very spicy at all. Also used 3 times as many sausage links to evenly distribute. Fried up the onion, green pepper and used fresh garlic and you can never get enough of that in beans. All in all a very hearty baked bean recipe with a sweet and sour type flavor. I will make again...with less sugar and with the spiciness and expect they will be great.

Three Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2007
This was excellent. Definitely would make this at home instead of going to a restaurant for theirs. I misread the recipe and added fresh basil instead of parsley, however, and the difference was amazing.

Simple Country Ribs

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
The simplest recipes are the best. Why complicate greatness? After cooking over the stove I gave them to my son to baste and turn over the grill. These came out restaurant quality. I think extra bbq sauce on the side would've been great, but everyone else devoured them as is. Thanks for easy tip to grilling an expensive meat that I usually avoid cooking for fear of messing it up!

Slow Cooker Ham

YUM! I've never seen 8 lbs of ham go so fast in my life. Didn't have to worry about what ham casserole to make with the leftovers. Too good all by itself, and amazingly simple!!

Slow Cooker Western Omelet

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
We enjoyed this recipe, made it for Easter morning. Woke up to a nice aroma, and no fuss no muss. Made exactly according to the directions--except 12 eggs wasn't enough to cover everything so I added 7 more so that it just barely covered. Also added 3/4 cup more cheese Cooked 9 hours and it was very moist, not leftover tasting at all. Husband asked me to make this a regular; he loved the great combination of flavors.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2007
MMmMmmMMmm just finished too many plates of this. Thank You for teaching me the secret of peeling off the leaves by boiling and pulling off one at a time. After that, I skipped the egg to hold rice and hamburger together and had to cook way more filling to go with all the leaves I was able to pull. The sauce needed help. Added tomato paste and 2 cups of water, along with some brown sugar, vinegar and wooster as suggested by others. I can't give exact measurements, but it was as good if better than I remember....will make again and again

Greek Pasta with Tomatoes and White Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2007
This was a very good recipe with a nice combination of flavors. My only disappointment was the sauce...it was a bit runny; not as saucy and thick as I'd like. Perhaps I should have drained the canned tomatoes first. I will try again and if it's still runny next time, I'll add tomato paste because DH and I really enjoyed the flavors.

Julia's Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
My family LOVED this. Especially the sauce, we saved the leftover sauce for dunking bread, crackers, anything whatsoever in. I used one can cream/mushroom and then used the can to measure 1 can of heavy whipping cream, instead of cornstarch & canned milk (or water like other users suggested). Mixed in the soup mix, added frozen chicken, chopped potatoes (skin on) and sprinkled basil on top. Yum! Might try adding green beans next time; not carrots, afraid it will take away from the flavor.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
I finally found the a mac and cheese recipe that is REALLY cheesy. This is the real Cheese and Macaroni reversal. There was so much cheese, I had to cook more macaroni than required. I used sharp cheddar instead of american, and only had half the required amount of processed cheese so added mozzarella to make up the difference. The processed cheese gives you the creamiest, choose the accompanying cheese according to your taste--we like the cheddar better.

Broccoli Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2006
I ran across this recipe while searching for a cheeseless side dish to serve to my in-laws who were coming to dinner for the first time....my mother-in-law could not get enough of this. The stuffing mix on top really makes this one! Even my son who hates stuffing devoured it. Simple flavors, easy to make.
