Chinese Chicken Salad III

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2002
I didn't use carrots or cilantro and it still turned out delicious. It was even easier because I didn't oven bake the wonton wrappers, just tossed them into my deep fryer and it was done very fast. Highly recommend.

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

I can't say enough of how much I love the recipe for the Pineapple Upside Down Cake. It is my favorite recipe and have made it quite a bit, I even made it for my neighbor who told me it was her favorite. She and her husband loved it, she said her husband almost licked the plate =) It is so soft and just melts in your mouth, delicious!

It was excellent, the best sausage gravy I ever had. Better than restaurant. I used Safeway brand buttermilk biscuits, this has become a household favorite.

Excellent recipe. I love Chicken Fried Steak and this is one of the best. I didn't do the gravy and made my own instead. It was wonderful with Mashed Potatoes

Buffalo Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2004
I loved it and it came out great! I used medium sized shrimp and I must say, you have GOT to use jumbos for better flavor. I also halved the recipe and it was still too much.

Lemon Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2005
I really loved this recipe. very easy and it came out so moist and fluffy. I also baked it longer than the recipe said, a little less than an hour. I used a box of lemon supreme mix instead of yellow cake mix, egg substitute and diet 7UP with splenda. I iced it with chocolate icing and it was delicious.

Pan Fried Whole Trout

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2003
This is the only recipe I use when I buy Trout. I also cut the heads and tail off before cooking, the black smoke is also a tiny problem so be prepared. I tend to cook it at a lower temp for a little bit longer so as not to have the smoke. This tastes really great.

Beer Battered Onion Rings

Very time consuming and I didn't need so much onion, 2 or even just 1 large onion would have been enough. But tastes delicious.

Ten Clove Garlic Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
I used half the amount of oil and less onion (since I didn't have any more on hand) and it was delicious. I marinated whole chicken breasts for two days and the taste was incredible, even the smell in the house was heavenly. I think next time I will save the marinade and make it into a thick gravy because I loved it so much. Definitely recommend!

New York-Style Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
I love this recipe! Definitely a keeper, I used way less of the citrus zest because I only had one lemon and one orange on hand, and I made a shortbread cookie crust due to having leftover Christmas cookies I wanted to use. I definitely recommend using a mixer though because doing it by hand was a real PITA, other than that it was super simple and super awesome. It still cracked but I don't care, it was perfect!
