Pizza Dough II

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I've worked with this recipe twice and have been delighted each time with the results. The first time I divided the dough into three to make three pies, but I like my pizza fairly large and so the crust came out thinner than I prefer. The taste and texture were wonderful - I made three cheese pizzas the first time. The second time I planned for larger pizzas and divided the dough into two portions. One pizza was three cheese with stuffed crust, brushed with garlic butter before baking. The other was also stuffed crust with garlic butter brushed on the crust, filled with Italian dry salame, tomato chunks, mushrooms and sauteed garlic slices. Both pies had a sprinkling of dry Italian spices over the cheese. Superb pizzas, and a wonderful evening making it with my teenage daughter. Can't wait 'til next time!

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
Marvelous and simple guide to a great roast turkey. I used a free-range bird, 13 pounds, and it turned out juicy and very flavorful. The best ever!

Easy Bok Choy

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
We used full-size bok choy, as the store had no baby bok choy available. This was a side veggie at Thanksgiving, and it was a big hit. I cooked it in a wok and allowed it to steam covered most of the cooking time. Simple and delicious.

Healthier Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
Easy pie with great results. My teenage daughter made the sauce, and with pre-made pie crust and Granny Smith apples it made a wonderful pie. We took the liberty of putting a 1/4 tsp. cinnamon in the sauce because we are all fond of a touch of cinnamon in our cooked apples. Everyone loved it with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Just right!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
Fantastic recipe! I used half and half white and whole wheat french bread, made the apple into an applesauce before mixing it in rather than making chunks, and used fresh herbs rather than dried. Stuffed the bird with it, which made for a more moist dressing than the portion I baked in the oven. We all loved it! It's super easy and wholesome to boot. I highly recommend this, even for the beginning cook.
