Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2014
This recipe is great and no, the amount of broth isn't a misprint. I definitely agree that it probably depends on the breadcrumbs you're using. I used two boxes of the Mrs. Cubbison's bread crumbs and that works out fine with the 4 cups of broth. I found that laying a dish towel on top of the stuffing under the lid is necessary. I also took another reviewer's suggestion of stirring every hour. This is a wonderful recipe.

Doubled the recipe and made this for Thanksgiving. My family loved it. I did add a can of mild green chilies. Definitely will make this one again.

Perfect. My entire family loved it. Best pumpkin pie ever. I'm currently making it for the second year in a row, and it is now my go-to pumpkin pie recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2013
Awesome stew. I did increase the cornstarch (6 tsp instead of 2) based on some other recommendations. It was great and my 6 year old boy loved it also, even having it for leftovers for a couple of nights afterward.

Caldo de Res (Mexican Beef Soup)

Great recipe. I made it as written (although I did add a can of tomato sauce) and my whole family, including my 5-year-old, loved it.

Mom's Best Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
I love this recipe but took the advice of other reviewers and omitted the sugar altogether. I'm also not a fan of raw onions so I left those out. This recipe is definitely best when made the day before you plan to eat it.

Grilled Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
Delicious way to cook chicken breasts. My 5 year old even loves them. Thanks for the recipe - it's become our go-to recipe for warm spring and summer nights. It's simple to make, doesn't take too long, healthy and tasty.

Chicken Flautas

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2012
These are great! My family (including my 5-year-old) absolutely loved them. I boiled then shredded the chicken with a fork. I added a bit of garlic salt for flavor when I mixed it with the salsa. You will definitely need more oil than indicated. Served them with some guacamole, sour cream, Mexican rice and a green salad. This is a wonderful recipe.

Zucchini Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2012
Delicious! The only things I did differently were, 1) I used a can of diced Italian recipe tomatoes (drained well) in place of a fresh tomato; and 2) I omitted the corn and the onion. Without a doubt I will make this one again. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
Really good recipe. I made the following (minor) modifications: I have a 4-year-old son and a boyfriend who eats a lot, so I definitely didn't cut the recipe as some suggested; the leftovers got eaten. I omitted the green chilis and used regular diced tomatos rather than the ones with chile peppers. I also used mild taco sauce and I'm sure if you prefer spicy then medium would be good. I also took the advice of another reviewer and used 2 tortillas per layer. This recipe is a keeper.

Chicken Wild Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
This soup is wonderful. I doubled the recipe and used 1/2 milk (2 cups) and 1/2 half-and-half. I also ommitted the mustard powder. It is simple to make and tastes great (my picky 4 year old even loved it). Will definitely make this one again.

Sensational Sirloin Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
These are very tasty. I followed the recipe exactly and was very happy with it. I may use more mushrooms next time, but that is just personal preference and the recipe really is wonderful as is. The marinade made the meat very tender and flavorful. Perfect recipe for summer grilling. Just served with rice and that was it. Very simple and very good.
