Love this recipe, and the fact that if I follow the directions I get virtually lump-less gravy!I substitute beef base for salt. Family loves this gravy!

Pumpkin Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
Can I give it a 10? This is my most requested recipe. I have made it as is, but I have also added 1/2 cup flax seed and 1/4 cup protein powder. When I do these additions, I also change up the flour because we are trying to use less white flour at my house. Instead of 6 cups of white flour I substitute 1 cup almond flour, 2 cups wheat flour, and 2.5 cups white flour. Delicious!

Will not eat canned chili again. Worth the effort. Enough said.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
LOVE - LOVE - LOVE these cookies. I have now made 5 times. Rave reviews. I add 1/4 cup flax seed, 1/4 cup protein powder. Still comes out chewy. Feel a little guilty that something this good is healthy!

Greg's Southern Biscuits

Perfect as is - just need to remember to put the butter and shortening in the freezer (biscuits burn if you forget). Reminded my of my grandmother's recipe. Love the flavor and texture of this biscuit!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
My time is limited and do not have time to make bread by hand. I thought I would just try this simple recipe in my bread machine! It was perfect! No changes. The settings were 1.5 lb loaf, light crust, and no additions. Major raves from the breadaholics in my family.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2012
I will never buy slaw again. Because I have several family members that are diabetic, I substituted with Splenda, using 1/4 cup less than what is called for with sugar. Rave reviews from multiple generations! Thank for posting.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
I used this recipe specifically for the crust. I have been looking for a crust like my Grandma used to make... This was it! I used canned pie fruit - and it was great! My children now have a taste of history.

Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
This drink hits the spot on a hot afternoon. I used decaf coffee (instead of instant), and I used half/half. I then used Splenda and unsweetened cocoa - for a low carb version. Can't wait to make again.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
I really could not believe it tasted as good as it did with such few ingredients. I loved the unique taste of the sauce, and will try this with chicken as well. If looking for something different - instead of the same old, same old... this is a great recipe to try.

New England Clam Chowder II

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
For a quick version of a decent clam chowder - this fits the bill. I always increase the number of clams in my recipes - and this soup was gone with no leftovers!

Best-Ever Texas Caviar

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
Loved this recipe. Added avocado at the end with some more lime, as well as fresh chopped tomato. The recipe is great as is for a large party, but as suggested, I would cut this in half for my own family. Great as a dip or a side dish.
