Easy Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
pretty tasty, but not thick enough. Only add 1/2 cup of milk, and leave out the salt!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Added an extra 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of allspice. Otherwise followed recipe exactly. Just be careful it doesn't burn!

Country Green Beans

Followed the recipe as written. It was pretty tasty. Will try subbing chicken broth and bacon next time and hopefully there will be even more flavor.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
After finding it very difficult to cook the chicken in the skillet, I baked it in the oven. Followed all the other instructions exactly. Overall it was very tasty.

Ghirardelli® Triple Chocolate Truffle Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
Absolutely decadent! Followed the recipe exactly, except that I didn't have a 2" deep circular pan, so I just divided it into two 1" deep pans. I forgot to take this into consideration in the cooking time...still baked it for 40 minutes and was worried that it would be dry, but no! It was incredibly moist and chocolaty! A++

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
Needed way more garlic as well as some salt. Even after these additions it still seemed to be lacking in flavor. :/ Will not be making again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
pretty tasty! Recommend using only one package of dough. Be sure to put the dough in 2 hours before serving in order for them to be fully cooked! I'd recommend also adding some ground pepper, cumin, and poultry seasoning for more flavor.

very tasty, but difficult to cut into bars, as they crumbled very easily. Perhaps the instructed cooking time is a little too long??

Ghirardelli® Chocolate-Almond Berry Bark

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Not impressed. I used fresh cranberries, since the recipe did not say to used dried (though dried may have worked better). The result was sloppy-looking and the taste was kind of strange. Won't be making again.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Needed to be altered quite a bit. Use an extra 1/4 cup of water, cover and let sit for 30 minutes. spread out on 9x13 pan, brush with basil and olive oil and bake for 10 minutes in a 450 degree oven. then take out, add sauce and toppings, and put back in for 5-10 minutes.

Souvlaki

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
The taste was decent, but since when does souvlaki marinade include soy sauce? It gave it more of an Asian flavor than a Mediterranean one.

pretty good. it tastes a little too much like plain stewed tomatoes, though. don't know how to improve it . . . perhaps some additional onion and cilantro.
