The last two days have been fairly tame in the kitchen. I did try new things, but I used jarred sauces so it was kind of a cheat. I made this bread pudding for a second time this past Firday, only this time I tried it with the crusts cut off (adding 3 extra pieces of bread to make up for the volume lost by the crusts). This week's food exploits...Since I got back from vacation Tuesday I have had the chance to do one fun thing in the kitchen. This year one of my New Years Resolutions is to cook a new recipe every week for a year. This sounds super easy until you know that I work full-time and am the mother of 2 very young kids, currently they are 25 months and 4 months old.
