Creamy Slow Cooker Marsala Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
This was very good. I used 3/4 cup of flour and I think about 1/4 cup would be about enough. I hated to see all the seasoning in the left-over flour not being used to season the dish, so I added the same amount of seasoning ingredients to the mushroom/wine mixture to make up for what was lost in the left-over unused flour. I subsituted a white semi-sweet wine for the masala. In the end the chops turned out delicious.

Quick and Easy Ham with Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
This was so easy and delicious. I used less brown sugar and omitted the marshmallows to cut down on the sweetness a bit. I will be making this often.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
I only gave it 3 stars because the sodium count is over the top. I followed others' suggestion and used low sodium mushroom soup, and my own salt-free home-made dry onion soup mix. It was delicious and I liked making it in the slow cooker.

Baked Chicken and Zucchini

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
Delicious, I cut recipe to 2 servings, and added the zucchini to the prepared baking dish, omitting the sauteing. I followed the recipe as written, otherwise. It was so delicious.

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
I made these as mini-muffins for my grand-children and they loved them. I followed the recipe exactlly. The second time I followed the recipe exactly, except I used bread flour, and they were even better. It gave a nice fluffy texture to them. They were gone in a flash, so I will have to double the recipe next time.

Pressure Cooker Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 24, 2012
This is the first time I used the pressure cooker to cook potatoes for salad. The potatoes turned out wonderful and was so simple to do, without cooking them in a large pot of boiling water. The rest of the salad recipe was right-on, and lends itself well to adjusting the ingredients to your personal tastes.

Toddler Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
I added 1 tsp. baking powder, and followed the rest of the recipe as written. They turned out so good. They were nicely fluffy and not dense and heavy like some muffins are. They had just the right amount of sweetness, too. Tomorrow I'll see if my picky grand-toddlers will like them. Thanks for this recipe.

Sell Your Soul to the Devil Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2014
Very good basic recipe. I loved the use of the powdered seasonings, which eliminated the need for chopping onion and garlic. I added the amount of dressing to the point that it was the consistency that I like.

Make-Ahead Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Reviewed: May 9, 2014
I like to make freezer crock pot meals. I doubled this recipe so I had one cooking in the c.p., and prepared the 2nd batch for freezing. With that one, I found it much simpler to combine all the ingredients, (minus the vegetables) with the pre-browned beef in a freezer bag and placed the bag in a bowl until it was frozen. I will just need to add the fresh veg. or a bag of frozen stew veg. to the c.p. along with the beef & tomato mixture.
