My cooking triumphs
I made fried rice the other day and it was decent. Other than that, not much. I am officially trying my first recipe from here today (12-28-09). We will see how it goes... :)
My cooking tragedies
I tried frying shrimp one time and let the oil get way too hot and completely charred the first 3 shrimp that went in. They lasted all of 2 seconds before being burnt.

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'
I loved this recipe, though I did change it up quite a bit based on other reviews. I found the perfect baking time for me was 335 for 55 minutes. If you want a slightly darker crust do it for 60 minutes. In addition, I use 3/4 cups of white sugar and 3/4 cups of brown sugar. Using 2 full cups was way too sweet for me. I use 5-6 medium bananas. Add 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1tsp vanilla. I also add 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1tsp baking soda. Helps the bread rise. I also only use 1/2-3/4 cup of butter instead of the full cup. Again, just preference. Great foundation for the recipe, just needed a little tweaking.

Blackened Chicken Pizza with Yellow Tomato Salsa
The chicken was fantastic alone, but the pizza itself wasn't a great combination for me. I felt it overpowered the great flavor of the chicken.

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi
