Restaurant-Quality Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
this is beyond the best soup i have ever tasted its better than black anguses....and that is saying something..i added some celery and sauted it with the onion gives a nice flavor...also this would be a good base for clam chowder...or you could add corn, green beans anything just about...i added the bacon and cheese to the whole pot that is how my family likes it...it is some time to make but well worth it...you wont regret making it but if you are planning on serving a crowd ya better make more than one batch it dont go very far cause of how thick it is...enjoy i will make this recipe for the rest of my life

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2013
this is my normal soup ,,,only i add smashed garlic also on top of the minced garlic it adds alot of flavor...also for my family potatoes is a must in this soup...they really add substance to the soup and help thicken it a bit...i normally dont add the powdered mustard but it does add a great dimension of flavor...thank you for that tidbit...

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2013
i have made these all of my life...i assemble them a bit differently...i mix milk, sugar, cocoa, butter, then bring to boil for 1 solid min maybe a few extra seconds...i judge it by the look when it starts to look glossy its perfect ...if you cook too long you get cookies that are brittle, not long enough soggy...so if you stir the whole time then when you cant stir away the bubbles then time for 1 min turn off heat add peanut butter let melt and vanilla...then i add a bit less oatmeal as 3 cups makes them too thick and not creamy enough try adding like 2 1/2 cups maybe a bit more ..if you play with this a bit you will be pleased...but please 2 min is too long to boil...like i said i have made these my entire life its always been 1 min after it comes to rapid boil that is the trick...and stir constantly...you will have better results good luck

Stabilized Whipped Cream Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
i dont use the microwave at all i just dissolve the gelatin in cold water then add some hot water then wait til it is almost cool to start mixing the cream..and add it at the end then refrigerate it for a while then use it...this is my method and works everytime...i always wondered how to use real cream and make it so it didnt melt right away...this is how the chefs do it...
