Maple-Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
I had Maple Balsamic dressing at an upscaled restraunt last week and loved it. I found this recipe and gave it a try. Wow....I was happy !! It tasted almost like the one I had at the restraunt. The only thing I would do next time is use a little less balsamic vinegar.

Pasta Primavera with Smoked Gouda

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011 I found this recipe to be very bland. The only change I made was I used red bell pepper instead of green Pepper. Only because Green pepper does not agree with us. I gave this 2 stars because my husband thought it was "okey". I will not make this again.

Hummingbird Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
This cake was very good. I regret cutting back on the oil because I found it to be a little dry. Next time I will use the full amount of oil. I also followed the reccomendations to add the pineapple juice. That was a good idea because the batter is very thick. As far the frosting, I used only 3 cups of confectioner's sugar. I will make this cake again !!

Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
This was WONDERFUL....I didn't change a thing except I didn't use the pecans. Very moist...the cake was nice and sweet and the cranberries added a wonderful touch of tart. Will make this again for our News Years Eve gathering .

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
What a great idea !! Ham in a crock pot. I used a 7 lbs smoked boneless ham. One cup of brown sugar on the bottom of crock pot. I then added the juice from a can of sliced pineapple. Once ham was in pot I scored the ham, I then used about a 1/2 cup of Real maple syrup on top of ham then sprinkled a little nutmeg and cinnamon on top of that. I then topped the ham off with about 5 pineapple slices then added the rest of the pineapple to the pot. I cooked on high about 3 hours and then on low for about 3 hours. I basted the ham often and used tooth picks to keep the pineapple from falling off the ham. My husband is not a lover of ham but he LOVED this. He was bragging to his family who lives in New York how wonderful this was. This is the only way I will ever make hame again!!!!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
I made this recipe because it was a 5 star. I only make homemade cake but tried this one. It was only ok and won't make this again. My 29 year old daughter really liked it. It tasted like a box cake.
