About this Cook
I like to have fun, but I also like to just hang around my house. I love to cook, and to see people's expression when they eat my food. I love crafting and making anything that I am doing to look perfect. I'm kinda Martha Stewert-ish like that. I like to lay around with a quilt and a glass of tea while watching TLC or something like that. That's basically me.
My favorite things to cook
One of my favorite things to make are desserts. I can woop anyone's butt with desserts. I can make some awesome cheesecakes! I really want to work on cakes and I guess it's because I would love to be the Ace of Cakes one day. lol. I do want to be a good cook, but being a good baker is a little cooler to me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well since I am kinda young, I don't have that many family traditions yet. I'm trying to make some every year, some stick and some doesn't. I have started cooking Thanksgiving all by myself these last couple years, so thats one. I'm tyring to do other stuff but we'll see how it goes.
My cooking triumphs
This Thanksgiving was definantly a triumph!! Just saying. But on a normal everyday level, I do have a few things I kick butt at. One thing I am awesome at is my chicken and dumplings. I make the best ever. I also make good meatloaf, chicken soup, spaghetti, cheesecakes, cookies, steaks, bbq beans, and other things.
My cooking tragedies
Oh...since I don't like ground beef, I will usually use ground turkey as a substitute and that doesnt go over well with my husband.

Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Soup
This was a good soup. I used veggie broth instead of chicken, onion powder instead of chopped (so i omitted the butter all together), added a 1/2 a teaspoon of garlic powder, a shake of dried dill, and around a teaspoon of hot sauce. Pretty good if you ask me!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
I don't really care for peanut butter, but these rocked my world! I just made them cookies and they were amazing. Bake them 8 minutes!!! no more! they're so good I'm going to have to make another batch, because I know they are going to go fast!
