Maple Salmon

only problem with this recipe is finding GOOD salmon in the midwest. However, it even makes sub-par salmon delicious!

icing-not frosting. Perfectly pourable! Just poured it over the new Betty Crocker dome shaped cake. Covered the dome entirely and little accumulated at the bottom of the cake plate. Recipe needs no tweeking-excellent as is. Just like Mom's-won't bother to find her recipe, now.

Mall Pretzels

best soft pretzel recipe I've tried so far. ordered pretzel salt from spicebarn.com and sprinkled after the baking soda bath--WOW! make sure to shake off extra soda water before placing on parchment paper to prevent sticking. quite tasty!

Elephant Ears

This is it!!!! I grew up in Indiana and at the state fair we ALWAYS had an elephant ear. Only difference may have that they lightly brushed them with melted butter before dousing them with cinnamon sugar. But surprisingly they taste fine without it and the sugar adheres well. Plus it's much better for us without the added butter. These fry up nicely with bubbles in the dough and everything. I'd decrease the amount of oil used for frying (I did mine in the iron skillet) since it gets a little splattery. Also, my frying time was about 10-15 seconds per side. So delicious!

Green Punch

Good fresh lime flavor, not too overpowering. Used diet sprite instead of ginger ale and floated lime sherbert on top.

Banana Slush Punch

I have a sweet tooth, but this is a perfect blend of tart and sweet! The banana really adds to it. Lemon-lime soda works great instead of the ginger ale. Also orange sherbet floating on top tastes great!

Snow Punch

I blended all ingredients except the soda and sherbert the day before and froze--worked great, bananas didn't turn brown. I also used pineapple sherbert since lemon was terribly expensive and it tasted wonderful!
