No-Fuss Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
I would describe these as biscuits in a muffin tin. Its the easiest drop biscuit recipe I've used. I doubled the recipe and had plenty for Sunday morning breakfast.

Round Steak and Gravy II

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
Using what was on hand, I combined the small can of French onion soup with a large can of cream of mushroom, plus a big dash of garlic powder for my family's taste. I cooked it on high for 2 hours and then low for another 3. The meat was perfect. I made a gravy out of what was left and its flavor was fantastic. This was a big hit and I'll make it again.

Dump Cake V

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
I made the cake mostly as directed. I omitted the coconut, and put the nuts between the pineapple and cake mix. After 50 minutes I took the pan out of the oven because the edges were a little dark brown and I wanted to avoid burnt spots. After letting it sit a few minutes to cool, we tasted the dessert. It was great! I love quick and easy recipes - you don't even need a mixing bowl for this. I plan to try some of the variations that others have suggested, too.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2011
I like the combination of cracker crumbs, potato flakes and seasonings. I've tried the stove-top method but frying is not where I do my best, so next time I will try the baking method. Tasty!

Supreme Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly and served it over mashed potatoes. It was very tasty. Next time I will probably add a little more paprika and some garlic for our family's taste.

Fiesta Chicken from Uncle Ben's®

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
I made this for my husband for supper. Did not have instant rice, so cooked regular rice in advance. Added enchilada sauce, and put it together nice and fast. It was great! He even had seconds. This goes into the regular rotation - thanks!

Top honors for being fast and easy. It has a tangy taste and I want to try it on chicken, too.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: May 19, 2012
This worked out - it was fast and I had everything on hand. My husband thought it was a little salty, so I'll probably use less seasoning salt next time. The gravy with onions made this a hit. UPDATE: This time I used Greek Spice instead of seasoning salt - it was good and eaten quickly.

Honey Mustard Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: May 19, 2012
I loved the basic recipe so I tried some small changes to use what was in my pantry. I substituted butterkase for the mozzarella, and used 3/4 c spicy mustard, 1/4 c honey mustard, and 1/2 c sour cream for the sauce. After cooking, I served it over rice and my husband liked it. It was quick and easy, which is one of my favorite characteristics of any recipe.

Black Friday Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2012
I doubled the recipe in a 13x9 pan, and everyone liked it. I used stuffing, turkey, green bean casserole, some frozen mixed vegetables, the leftover gravy, mashed potatoes & grated cheese. I also added a chopped cooked onion with the vegies. Instead of leaving the turkey's cavity empty, we put a couple whole onions and an apple inside for moistness and flavor. One of those onions made a great addition to this dish. We also liked the name of the recipe.
