Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
I've made many pancake recipes, but none have been so great that I ever make them again...until now! This recipe is fantastic and it will be my go-to pancake recipe from now on!!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
The only reason I didn't give this recipe the full 5 stars is because it isn't at its best the day after baking. This bread is phenomenal right out of the oven and for the rest of the day, but if you're making it for guests or something, plan to bake it the same day you'll be serving it. And if you have any leftovers the next day, they make marvelous french toast! This bread is also exquisite made into cinnamon rolls!

Michelle's Soft Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
Best from-scratch sugar cookies I've ever made, and easy too! I thought that three eggs might be too much before I made these cookies, but I decided to follow the recipe and it wasn't too much at all. The only change I made was to substitute 4 tsp. baking powder for the baking soda and cream of tartar. They turned out wonderful! A tip: If you bake cookies on an insulated cookie sheet, you can't tell if they're done by looking at the top of them. I always take my cookies out of the oven and carefully slide a small spatula underneath one cookie. When the bottoms are a light golden brown, the cookies are done! Don't wait for the tops to turn golden or they'll be overcooked with an insulated cookie sheet!

Baked Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I've tried a few different mac & cheese recipes and none have turned out just right. This one did, though! My husband, who much prefers the boxed version of this food, actually took two helpings. I already loved the taste, but seeing him go back for more when he usually won't even touch homemade mac & cheese really sold me on this recipe! My changes: I added 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard, thanks to a reviewer's suggestion, and that turned the dish from really good to wonderful! I also only had two cups of cheddar so I added a cup of mixed american and mozzarella. Fantastic!!
