Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
It was a good and easy sugar cookie. Maybe not my most favorite, but, still good. Dont over bake these or they will be crisp. Even when it still looks like they are not done take them out! I would skip putting colored sugar on these because it tastes artificial. Frost instead.

Sour Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
I made it and did not like it at all. It tastes like gritty powdered sugar and too sweet for my taste buds. All I tasted was the powdered sugar and I was under generous with the sugar.

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2011
I really like this mac salad. It is creamy! I cut the sugar to 1/2 cup. Used a lemon mustard target brand mustard. 4 eggs. A little chopped garlic. Very nice salad. This amount is not too little not too much.

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
This is a really good basic oatmeal cookie recipe. It wont dissapoint! I altered it slightly because of what I had on hand. Trader Joes big golden raisins, some shredded coconut, steel cut oats instead, and mini choc chips. This is a nice, chewy recipe. A bit too sweet. Might want to cut sugar a bit.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
I like this recipe because it has buttermilk. I normally use your basic, but very good "Albers Cornmeal" recipe. Here is what I recommend: butter a cast iron skillet that you have warmed in the oven for about 10 min with 1T butter. Then add your batter and bake. I dont understand the sequence of ingredients she has?? All ingredients go in a bowl and mix. Add to hot skillet and you cant go wrong!
