Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
Only thing I would clarify is, cut the jalapenos diagonally, not long-ways. I used finely chopped onions as well, had no cheddar cheese but it still worked out fine! A+++++++ WOULD BUY AGAIN!!!1! They were so hot and so good it this happened: (?°?°)?? ???

Blushing Cranberry Pears

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
GREAT-- wanted to try something new and healthy for my family, and everyone loved it and thought it looked like it was out of a magazine! You will impress your guests for sure! I did 2 1/2 cups cranberry, 2 cups orange juice, and then used ground cinnamon (about 1 teaspoon), and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. It all came out great. I was tempted to use a little ginger ale, for some sparkle and zing, but held off for another time. Served with one scoop of vanilla. Be sure if your pear stems aren't long enough to serve with a spoon and a fork or knife so your guests can hold that pear still! One thing: I also did not get the "blush" effect. I will reduce the liquid after (maybe a drop of food coloring?). But, for a cute trick, have a small server of the liquid at the table (room temp) to pour a little on the pear, and that looks like a blush ;) GREAT GREAT and will do again, thank you very much!

Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
Really good recipe. I am not so much a fan of white chocolate, but others are and always appreciate this for the holidays. I didn't put candy cane in between the layers either-- I forgot!! And I also microwaved the chocolate-- much quicker and easier. I'd love to taste this with dark chocolate--mmmm!

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
Great taste-- I ended up using 1/4 cup orange juice and 1/2 cup lemon juice and some cinnamon to fit the hoildays. But the filling is just so thin! I think I would want to try a smaller pan, or maybe somehow double the filling? It doesn't look done at all, but it is and tastes good. I don't know, maybe the orange juice doesn't work as well as I'd like. But thanks for sharing!

Orange Spice Cake

Delicious, a real treat! I'd add in some more orange though because I also did not have any marmalade. Yum!
