Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
I don't think this version mimics a stroganoff. It's very tasty in its own right but as a mock stroganoff, it just didn't do it for me. If you're a vegetarian looking for a yummy dish I would recommend but not if you're looking for a beef stroganoff like dish.

New Wife Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
Wow tuna salad wow! I normally hate tuna salad but my boyfriend just loves all things smothered in Mayo. So I whipped up this dish for luches the other day and just can't stop making it. So delicious. You can add more of less of the relish, mustard mayo taste as you prefer but I found this recipe to be perfect!

Cinnamon-Honey Grapefruit

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
For being a SUPER simple 3 ingredient 3 step recipe, this is quite an amazing tasting dish. I've always heard that brown sugar is great on grapefruit, but this warm dessert is more than I could have asked for. I loved it and so did my boyfriend! 5 stars all the way. A great healthy alternative to everything else! :) thanks so much for posting.

Grilled Portobello Sandwich with Roasted Red Pepper and Mozzarella

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
Amazing! This recipe deserves its great reviews thats for sure. I grilled some onions and red bell peppers together and added some of the balsamic glaze. It was absolutely fantastic. For an extra kick try pepper jack cheese instead of provolone. :) thanks so much for this recipe!!!

Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
Oh-My-Goodness-Deliciousness This burger is out of this world good. Both my boyfriend and I are meat eaters and with the flavor and taste you don't miss it at all. I followed the sauce recipe exact and cooked in the broiler for 7-8 minutes. Also I grilled with olive oil and a bit of the remaining balsamic glaze some red bell peppers and onions and used pepper jack instead of provolone for an extra kick. So good, a staple for sure.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
Oh MY these Cookies Are AMAzING! Followed the directions (except left out the nuts) and they were the most fantastic choco chip cookie I've ever made. They are a bit cake-like but quite honestly, its delicious that way. Nothing like I've ever baked before and I will use this recipe often! :)

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
this was a delicious chili. I didn't add the fake meat and only a lil bit of corn cause I'm not a big fan. But this was really good, very spicy so I had to put a lil plain yogurt in the bowl which was sooo good with it. Also as a side note if you used diced instead of crushed tomatos you'll need to add broth to it or it'll be a bit too thick. :) Thanks for this recipe!! Seriously wonderful.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
WOW... the flavor is amazing but BOY O BOY is it strong. Like the other reviews, I would suggests cutting back on the rum. Just because its a little overwhelming... and I am not a light weight. Other than that its perfect.

Spinach Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
I am also rating this recipe with my changes included. I pretty much copied another member since I agreed the base recipe looks like it will be pretty bland and we are like kicked up food. So i followed this recipe from another reviewer - sautéed one diced poblano, half of a jalapeno, half of a red bell pepper, three cloves of garlic, one yellow onion, and one 4oz can of green chilies to add to spinach mixture- I also doubled the spinach. It was very good!

Kicked Up Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
I'm not sure why this got such amazing reviews. We love spicy food but the taste was just awful. Not a good flavor at all... especially the breadcrumbs on top... just terrible. We didn't end up eating it. :(

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
These hamburgers turned out amazing. I used a whipped cream cheese which made it much easier to stir in the jalapenos. I would recommend putting a little mayo on a toasted bun and toppings like tomato & lettuce. Great burger!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
Great recipe. Added garlic and dried oregono to the ground beef as well as a pinch of cayanne for some kick. The tomatos were diced (just easier) and I added basil to it. I cooked rice seperately in the rice cooker (since it always turns out perfect that way). I boiled the bell peppers for a bit longer and I'm glad I did. They were perfect for eating with a fork. Overall this is a great recipe to start but would suggest you play with it and make it your own. My boyfriend LOVED this one!

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
This was a really really nice recipe. I only voted 4 stars because it seemed to be lacking some flavor. I added a bit extra paprika/chili powder. Great based and will use again! Thanks!
