I'm just a down-home gal who loves God first then hubby,family & friends. I have been blessed with the best family ever. I have two very spoiled cats also. I love to make fried chicken and homemade chicken & dumplins. My Mom & grandma always let me be in the kitchen with them. My first meal I cooked on my own was fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn & biscuits. I was 13 at the time. Mastering my Grandma's Light Dinner Rolls. And, also making my Carrot Cake. It is awesome if I do say so myself. Making a chocolate pudding pie and grabbing a bag of salt instead of sugar.Down south, they sold salt in bags like sugar. I was trying to impress my new father-in-law by making his favorite dessert. I was so humiliated and ashamed of myself. They all laughed it off. I can laugh at it now.
