Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust
I used this recipe in making Blueberry Pie I, and it was delicious. I mixed the egg with only 1/4 cup water (suggested by another reviewer) and it made the dough plenty moist. I used some leftover for a beef pot pie. The flakiness was great but it was probably a bit sweet for a meat pie.

Blackberry Pie I
This pie is very good! I used frozen berries and added a TBS of chopped cold butter before putting on the top crust and the filling was not runny at all. After brushing some milk on the crust I only sprinkled about 1 1/2 tsp. of sugar on top. I cut the recipe in half and prepared it in a small 4 serving glass pie plate and it was just right for dessert for a couple of night for hubby and I. I also prepared Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust and it was superb.

Lemon Cupcakes
The cupcakes came out flat and spread on the cupcake tin. I used the self-rising flour. That too was a mistake. I should have just used all-purpose with some baking soda. Then, following the icing directions, which certainly aren't difficult, my icing separated. My first thought was that 5 minutes was way too long but then I had never made cream icing before so I told myself to just follow the directions. I think I'll just by some from the store and call it quits. I made some chocolate cupcakes before this batch and they came out wonderful. So I give the cupcakes 3 stars because the flavor is good even if the appearance isn't, and the icing 1 star.
