My favorite family cooking traditions
German greta and bread pudding on Christmas morning are a thing. Greta has been in our family for at least 4 generations, and this will be my first Christmas making it myself. Bread pudding started 4 years ago with my oldest because we had eggs, stale bread, and milk in the house, and that was it. Now, we all make it together!

Chicken fried steak. It died a terrible, terrible, chewy death.... And the husband still ate it all! (Not because he liked it, mind, but to save my crushed feelings.)
