Porketta Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
I really loved this! I prepared this as the instructions demonstrated, put it in my roaster pan with the lid on. It came out very juicy. This was good reheated for leftovers as well.

Broccoli Rice Casserole

This was fantastic! I would recommend this as a side dish, and it makes quite a bit...the leftovers are good as well.

Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
I made mine without the beer (and with beef broth instead). Very simple!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
Not bad...just make sure the chicken is pretty thin (mine was thick in some places), and don't over-fry.

Dijon Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
I thought there was too much of a mustard taste, so I increased the brown sugar slightly. I also put in most of a very small apple juice box (one of the toddler sized-ones) instead of 3 tbsp.

Cream Cheese Corn

Reviewed: May 7, 2011
I used 3 ears of corn, 1/2 a tub of chive & onion cream cheese, and the butter...I thought my son and husband were going to eat my pot, they ate it so fast! Will be making this week as well, with the corn crop still in grocery stores.

Quick Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
Good recipe...made it as 'chunky' as I wanted with the addition of the clams and potatoes.

I added some chicken broth and rigatoni... I thought this soup was great!

Slow Cooker Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
I think I used the wrong kind of ribs...they absolutely fell apart and were hard to get out of the crock pot.

Candied Carrots

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
I liked these carrots, as did my 4 1/2 year old son. They were a little too hard, though (which I like, but some in my family didn't), so I would cook for longer. They did just fine reheated as leftovers.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2013
I really liked this recipe...I made the sauce, and put the chicken right in it. Then, I put the chicken on the grill. I only basted a little bit...it didn't really need a whole lot of basting. The sauce does tend to run, and quite a bit fell through the grill grates, but the taste was very good!

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2013
Very good...substituted chive and onion cream cheese for the minced garlic and cream cheese. Turned out very well.

Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
I made this for Father's Day, as my husband requested a 'different meatloaf'. I'm not a fan of meatloaf in general, but this was really good. You can definitely taste the bacon and swiss. We used sliced swiss, and just tore it, and I think that worked really well. The leftovers heat up well, so if there are any, those are good too.

Easy Fish Tacos with Mango-Pineapple Slaw

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2012
Way, way, way too much salt and pepper. If I make again, those two ingredients will be dramatically decreased. Fish came out well.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
This didn't work so well...the filling was just watery. It never set, and the bottom crust didn't cook at all. The pie was beautiful...but it didn't work.

Italian Chicken Sausage Risotto

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2012
Pretty good. Used moscato instead of Chardonnay, didn't use thyme (just didn't have any), minute rice, and not as much chicken stock. It was still very good.

I didn't put in the onion (we prefer milder flavors), but this came out very well.
