Chicken Curry Salad in a Hurry

I love this recipe - quick, easy and delicious. I doubled the curry and used 2 pks of Perdue Shortcuts (roasted). Left out the egg and apple, and added 2 tbsp of Mango Chutney for a touch of sweetness. Then, served on sweet rolls with lettuce. Um, Um, Good!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

I finally have a "go to" recipe for lemon meringue pie. I read the reviews and made the following modifications: substituted milk for the water; used 3 and 1/2 tbsp cornstarch; and 1/2 cup juice from real lemons. I also used a cookie crumb bottom and decorated the edge with more cookies. It was a little bit of work, but well worth it!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

God bless you for sharing this recipe. I'm a southern cook and a pretty darn good one if I might add. I know my way around a kitchen, and so does your grandmother. This is hands down the best cornbread that I've ever eaten. It actually rivals the cornbread that I've had in restaurants. The only adjustment that I made was that I cut the sugar down to 1/2 cup. That was just the right amount of sweetness for me. Delicious!!!!!

Puff Pastry

The flavor of this pie crust was absolutely wonderful, but I had a hard time handling the dough. It was waaay too delicate. It also didn't puff up. Overall, a good recipe.

Sweet Cornbread Cake

Shut yo' mouth! This cornbread recipe is a definite keeper. I've eaten it hot and cold and it's delicious. I like it nice and brown so that it cooks through. Very moist and flavorful. After reading the comments, I cut the recipe in half and used only 1/2 cup of sugar so that it wouldn't be too sweet. Delicious.

Country Green Beans

This recipe is delicious. I am a southern cook, and the only change I made to this recipe was substituting the ham for bacon. These beans taste better than my mother's, which is pretty hard to beat!
