Hot and Tangy Broccoli Beef

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
Made this for lunch today, the hubby thought it was really good. I on the other hand agreee with others, it was a bit bland, I really don't know what it was missing. After tasting I added garlic powder and seasoned salt, but still was not enough seasoning

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
I just made this. The only changes I made was I did the salt and pepper to taste, because I knew it would be to much for my family and used white vinegar instead of red wine , because that is what I had on hand no lemon juice. I was really impressed with this salad, love the flavors, the tang of the vinegar and the pepper. Can't wait to make for a family gathering.

Russian Black Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
I though this bread was really awesome the day I baked it and it was fresh out of the oven. The next day it had already started to dry out and the only way we could eat it was to toast it. I had a few changes in the recipe, because of not having some ingredients. No corn syrup so I subbed molasses, no instant coffee so I used some brewed coffee instead. I will make this bread again.

Grandma's Noodles II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
These were some of the best homemade noodles I have ever made. This recipe is one I will now use all the time. Hubby loves homemade noodles, and was really impressed with these.

Cheesy Baked Cauliflower

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
This recipe did not impress me at all. There was just not enough flavor. I agree with others you only need to steam this about 10 to 15 minutes. I did double up on the mayo and mustard and still wasn't enough flavor .

Gingerbread Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
This cake was so moist it practically melted in your mouth . The only thing I did different from the recipe was subbed butter for shortning, and had to put about a 1/8 cup of white corn syrup because I didn't have enough molasses. I also baked in a tube pan for about 30 minutes. I am not a big fan of molasses but this really brought out the taste of the ginger. I really liked this cake.

NY Style Rye Crackers

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
I have made these twice now and we love them. I followed the recipe exactly except I didn't use the caraway seed, because I don't care for it . This was the first time I ever made crackers. Today I had to add a litttle more water, will be making these many more times.

Honey-Oat Pan Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I made these rolls a few days ago , I did't change the recipe at all, they were really good. Hubby couldn't stop eating them. I only got 15 rolls instead of 24. I would like to try them again with maybe using more wheat flour. Very easy!
