About this Cook
I'm a mother of 3 boys and have been married 35 years. I love being outside taking care of the yard and my garden. I especially like to grow new things each year. I enjoy canning in the summertime. Also I can't stand for things to be the same so I'm always repainting and rearangeing the rooms in my house constantly.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook in my crockpot, there is nothing better than putting a meal in to cook in the morning and having it ready at suppertime, after working all day. I enjoy making foods my family really likes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
This year I raised my own turkeys for Thanksgiving, and I plan on making this a family tradition.
My cooking triumphs
I'm learning to make yeast breads, I just made the honey oat buns from this site and they turned out really good.
My cooking tragedies
Learning to make milk gravy, instead of wallpaper paste. It took several years to learn someting so simple.

Hot and Tangy Broccoli Beef
Made this for lunch today, the hubby thought it was really good. I on the other hand agreee with others, it was a bit bland, I really don't know what it was missing. After tasting I added garlic powder and seasoned salt, but still was not enough seasoning

Bodacious Broccoli Salad
I just made this. The only changes I made was I did the salt and pepper to taste, because I knew it would be to much for my family and used white vinegar instead of red wine , because that is what I had on hand no lemon juice. I was really impressed with this salad, love the flavors, the tang of the vinegar and the pepper. Can't wait to make for a family gathering.

Grandma's Noodles II
These were some of the best homemade noodles I have ever made. This recipe is one I will now use all the time. Hubby loves homemade noodles, and was really impressed with these.
