Jimmy Dean Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2014
I thought this was ok. My biggest issue was the 6 cups of bread. Maybe weight would be better. I had far to much bread in it so maybe i packed it to much in measuring cups . It was barely an egg dish. Next time less bread or maybe I'll try a different recipe. It didn't have a lot of flavour. Again, maybe due to all that bread.

Butter Rich Spritz Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2014
I agree with many others. Cookie has a very unappealing taste. It was also to think to go thru my cookie press. After a while I gave up and made them like sugar cookies that are rolled in balls. Even dipping them in coloured sugars didn't give them enough flavour. They will not make the gift boxes.

Saltine Toffee Cookies

I thought they were yummy. Hubby found them way to sweet. My only negative is, they are way to greasy on the bottom. I'm sure the kids will eat them up.

Uh oh. I have 1 very big cookie. And FLAT as a pancake. I'm not sure what I did wrong but, the don't look like pictures (plump). They, or should I say "it" crackled fine and is chewy. I agree with another review I read, almost to chocolate .

Cocoa Rum Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2014
I just made these and they were so stick to try and roll. I ground up a few more cookies and that helped a bit. For me there was to much rum. Hubby's drink of choice is rum and he gave them a 'just ok". I guess we'll see in a couple days how they taste. My main concern is there is nothing in them that will stiffen up, so sitting out on a plate will often them again.

I to thought they were very bland without the icing, which I wasn't going to use. The icing definitely made a huge improvement . Pretty good

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2014
Pretty basic and ok. I'd go 31/2 stars. It doesn't come close to any I've eaten in a restaurant. If your looking for something quick, easy and filling, this would fit the bill. I'd probably prefer a taco soup. Thank you for sharing. I would make again with a bit of tweaking

Very good. With the addition of 1/2 tsp onion powder and 1/2 tsp seasoning salt it was closer to a 5 star. Very good as is tho. Make sure to let sit a few hours

Banana Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2014
I took the advice of gradysmom. Low and slow. I cooked it at 330 for 1/2 hour longer then called for and it came out perfect. The only change I made was brown sugar for honey because that's all I had . Very nice loaf but I found more banana flavour and no pumpkin. For that reason alone I probably won't make again. Or will make and omit banana. I was looking forward To a little more of a pumpkin loaf. Ty

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IV

They came to 5 stars with a little tweaking. Following other reviewers advice I added 2 tsp cinnamon an 1/4 tsp allspice. I didn't need an extra egg, the consistency was fine.

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2014
As soon as I started making this I realized it was like a dip I make and had a feeling it wasn't going to be what I'd want for enchiladas. By the time we put enchilada sauce and all the toppings they were good. Just not our taste. Ty for sharing.
