This is a good base recipe but, like others, I added a few things. First, I boiled a whole chicken in water and added 2 cans of Swanson's chicken broth (also a little bouillon granules to taste). I sauted the vegetables with 1-2 cloves of garlic and then added everything to a crock-pot (minus the egg noodles). About 40 minutes prior to serving, I added Reames Noodles to the crockpot and served with warm multi-grain french bread!!! Delicious

Carrot Cake III

This recipe is fantastic!!! I followed the advise of some other viewers and used 1/2 applesauce, 1/2 oil (the amount of oil seemed a bit much), 1/2 whole wheat flour and a smidge of nutmeg. I also cut the recipe in half and baked in an 8x8 pan for ~40min. It was extremely moist and very tasty. I will def. make this again & again!!!

Italian Chicken and Rice

My 2 year olds ask for chicken and rice every night so we are always on the look out for new recipes. This one passed the test. The chicken is very juicy and has a great taste. I did as others have done and added a bit more italian seasoning and sprinkled with garlic powder. The rice is a bit dry....even after adding double the liquid (I used chicken broth). Maybe it needs to be covered for a portion of time. If you are looking for more of a sauce, I would suggest cream of chicken soup. Overall, I rated this 4 stars because we will def. make it again (the chicken alone is worth it).

Baked Pork Chops I

My family was disappointed with this recipe. It was very bland and pretty heavy. I did not care for the white wine sauce as it made the sauce to bitter. I ended up adding more cream of mush and a touch of sour cream. That helped a bit but not enough to want to make this again.

Pumpkin Pancakes

These pancakes were great!!!! They do take a bit longer to cook as mentioned in previous reviews...lower heat it best. I too omitted the allspice and added 1/4tsp of nutmeg. My two year olds and in-laws loved them! Will definitely make again.
