Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
Yum yum, triple yum!!!! The only thing difficult about this recipe is finding the caramels when it is not Fall or Winter.

Frozen Peanut Butter Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
I made the recipe as is and was not impressed. I made the mistake of making this recipe for the first time and brought it to 4th of July. The people who tried it were polite and said it was "good" but I have a feeling they were just being nice. The lemon juice was odd and the whole thing reminded me of one of the "fake" cheesecakes one would expect at a low budget buffet.

S'mores

Awesome!! I followed the advice of other reviewers adding more crust and baking in stages. Very messy (eat with a plate and fork). Next time I am going to serve it slightly warm with Rocky Road ice cream. YUMMO!

Dark Chocolate Dream

Reviewed: May 17, 2013
I had been on a mission for the best chocolate cake recipe for about 3 years. I have made many on this site but for some reason always passed this one over. I knew my mission was complete the second I bit into this cake! I was very skeptical because the batter is so runny but my concern was unfounded. I undertook a mission to recreate Starbucks lattes as cupcakes and used this as a base for all of the mocha flavored ones (just added 3 packets of Via) and some additions such as chocolate chips for Java chip or a white chocolate filling for the white mocha. And as a cake this recipe is great with a strawberry or blueberry filling!

Eclair Cake with Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2013
Love, love, love this recipe! I make it in 2 varieties, as written and without the pudding (double the whipped cream and powdered sugar to taste). You can use any ganache recipe you'd like. I am looking forward to being creative with this... making the dough, letting it cool, putting a layer of ice cream and then toppings... or fruit and caramel... the possibilities are endless! Thank you Laney Jane!!!

Rich Chocolate Frosting for 24 cupcakes

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2013
AWESOME! This is my new go-to chocolate frosting. I love the flavor of the Chocolate Fudge frosting on this site but the hot fudge makes it a little unstable. This one holds it's shape even in hot weather and is delish!

Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2012
I am not a huge fan of this recipe. I used Ghiridelli (sp) chocolate chips and even with that the flavor/texture was lacking for me. I mean it was not horrible, it set up really nicely but I like more of a melt-in-your-mouth type of fudge and this was much stiffer than that.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2012
I rated the original version of this recipe 4 stars simply because the dough was dream to work with. My complaint wa that the flavor was very bland. With the increased sugar and addition of 1 tsp of almond extract these cookies are PERFECT in both ease of dough to work with and taste!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
Pretty good. I modified a lot from the original recipe posted thanks to many previous reviews. I cut down on the salt and it was still way too salty. This edited version is what I will try next time. It is very easy just time consuming.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2012
I am giving this 5 stars because it is simple and tasty. It is great as it is but the next time I make it I will try and add a layer of some sort of filling (depending on my mood) and take away a layer of tortilla.

Chocolate Mint Dessert Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2012
I don't know if this is fair or not but I took away a star because of the difficulty I had finding "creme de menthe liqueur". It was even for St Patty's day and no store in my town carried it. I ended up using mint extract and the flavor just didn't do it for me. The idea is 5 starts but the hassle and end result warrant 3 in my book.

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2012
I agree with previous raters, add the flour in with the apples and use at least 50% brown sugar. Otherwise, this is a very good recipe. It is a keeper! I like to use a variety of apples with differing amounts of sweetness/tartness.

Michelle's Soft Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2012
I did not care for this recipe. When I took this dough out of the refrigerator after 12 hours and the dough was still too soft to really make good shapes. I had to make a large number of cookies and made 2 batches of this dough, boy was that a mistake! And then the cookies tasted almost like a snicker doodle. Maybe if I had used butter and no cream of tarter they would have been better.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2012
Very good basic sugar cookie recipe for cutting shapes and decorating. I only had about 30 minutes to let them refrigerate. The dough was pretty easy to work with even given the less than ideal refrigeration period. In between chunks being rolled out I put the dough in the freezer which firmed it up nicely.

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
Delish! I made these and dipped half in dark chocolate and OMG they were fantastic! You cannot find a better PB cookie recipe, in my opinion. They turn out as just the right combo of crispy outside and chewy inside. For those of you looking for a more traditional crispy cookie you may want to look elsewhere or bake longer. But I will never use another PB cookie recipe!
