About this Cook
My husband and I are OTR Semi Truck Drivers. When we come off the road and catch up on our sleep the next thing we look forward to is a good home cooked meal.
My favorite things to cook
I do not have one thing that I particularly like to cook I just consider cooking a hobbie born out of a necessity. Afterall, we must eat to survive. I do not like to eat just to eat I like to eat good food and food that is good for you. Eating something cooked that completely satisfies the palette is what living good is all about. Food is the center of the world.
My cooking triumphs
Made completely from scratch from my mothers cookbook when I was growing up: German Chocolate Cake Boston Creme Pie Cream Puffs served with vanilla ice cream and Sanders Hot Fudge Sauce
My cooking tragedies
Honestly, Nope have not had a cooking tragedy.

Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers
Left out the horseradish sauce but caramelized some onions and added then to the top before serving. Excellent recipe!

Pork Chops with Apples, Onions, and Sweet Potatoes
I definately will make this again. I substituted honey for the brown sugar and used granny smith apples because they are a firmer apple. Added greens as my side dish. Very nice dinner quick and easy too.

Southwest Chicken Casserole
This is a good base recipe, I added 2 cans of soup, 1 can of corn and fresh chiclen breast chunks and I added cayenne pepper for a little more heat. I topped it off with a half cup of shredded cheddar cheese and baked it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. I would definitely would make this again. Even my fussy husband liked this dish.
