Foil Wrapped Veggies

Used a shallow casserole dish instead of foil and baked uncovered. Mixed 1/2 can (or to taste) of french fried onions with 1/2 cup finely shreaded Parmesan cheese and about half way through sprinkled on top of the veges. WOW!!! Not the lowest in calories but the taste got rave reviews.

Playgroup Granola Bars

VERY GOOD!! Used 1 cup raisins and substituted 1/4 cup applesauce in place of 1/4 cup oil. Added 1 cup almonds ground in the coffee grinder.

Sauced Fish

Doubled the recipe. Added garlic and used half mayo and half miracle whip instead of all mayo as suggested by a previous reviewer. Grilled the fish first and put sauce over after grilling. Yummy

Honey Bun Cake I

WONDERFUL as is but this time changed. Used 1 egg/3 eggbeaters; and 8oz of lowfat yogurt instead of sour cream. Turned out very moist. We like a lot of flavor so use 2 tbls of pumpkin pie spice. I make 1/2 of the glaze as that's plenty for us.

Pink Sauce for Pasta (Shrimp)

Excellent. I'm even asked to make it. I substitute fat free half and add a couple of tablespoons of wonder flour to thicken in place of the cream. You can also use powered ginger. We also use chicken which I think is even better.

Fish Roll Sauce

WOW what a surprise. I was a little leary becauce of the mixture of ingredients but what a surprise. Even after substituting eggbeaters and margaring for the eggs and butter it was still great. Might reduce the sugar by a couple of tablespoons next time. I used it on Ahi Tuna and Halibut and got rave reviews. Definitely a keeper.
