I added two bars of chopped good quality white chocolate to these, and they were excellent. Be sure to chop the zest to nearly nothing - zest near the surface of the cookies became hard and not too pleasant.

Spicy Mango Salsa

whoa batman - too hot. i don't know if my peppers & ginger were spicier than the recipe owner gets - but i would start with half and move upwards, unless you're planning on a tablespoon heaped upon a meat dish - i served this as a dip and it sure kept the drinks moving.

Black Bean Salsa

really really yummy - i wasn't too sure about this recipe, but figured other people might like it - of the four dips & spreads i made for that party this one was the best. i did change the recipe a bit - instead of canned tomatoes with jalapenos, i used regular canned tomatoes and threw in a real jalapenos, it could have stood two. and regular corn instead of mexican.

not bad, a bit bland - i added some blue cheese salad dressing (i was hosting a party for goodness sakes - it had to be salvaged) and it turned out quite a bit better.

Seven Grain Bread I

wonderful! much better than the plain white bread recipe which was up to now the only recipe that came with my bread machine that the family liked. a little bit harder to slice when hot, but well worth the effort.

i don't know about kid friendly, but these were a hit at the party i held for the girls while the boys were away on a stag camping trip. it was also pretty cool sending out invitations to a pink panty party!

Black Bean Soup II
