About this Cook
My Mother used to own a Cafe and so I used to cook there some. I also used to live on a farm where I could have a big garden and used to can and freeze a lot of stuff. In fact one year everything we ate came from our farm (or our neighbors farm) except for things like milk, butter, flour etc. We had beef, I raised chickens, we traded some chickens for pork from our neighbor, we hunted so we had venison, I had a very large garden, we picked berries so made jams and syrups, I canned fruit like peaches and pears....... It was so much fun.
My favorite things to cook
I love pasta dishes.
My cooking tragedies
I absolutely CAN NOT make good banana bread no matter what recipe I use. I also have lots of trouble with pancakes of all things. LOL

Meat-Lover's Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce
This is by far the BEST spaghettin recipe I have ever seen. I can't find anyplace to get the Sweet Italian Sausage other than in ground form but even using the ground Mild Italian Sausage it is FABULOUS. I used 1/2 pound of the ground Italian sausage to 1 pound of ground beef. I am not a huge fan of chunks of tomato in my spaghetti sauce so I used the "petite" diced tomatoes and replaced the stewed tomatoes with the same "petite" diced tomatoes. They cooked down very nicely. Other than those few things I wouldn't change anything else in this recipe. I will be making that a lot.

Berry Fruit Salad
This is always good. I always put a big spoon of sugar free vanilla pudding on top of it.
