Mom's Zucchini Bread

Awesome recipe! I made my first batch using my garden zucchini and hubby said two loaves were gone in 10 minutes at his job. Requests are coming in for more!

These were awesome! I was making burgers for dinner and didn't have any buns. I made this recipe, poured them on top of the burgers and ate them with a fork and knife. I didn't miss the bun at all and actually enjoyed this much more. I did add a little extra onion but followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Good-bye hamburger bun....I don't need you any more! I can't wait to try these on a nice steak! Thanks for the recipe!

Mushroom Cube Steaks

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

This was delicious and so easy to make! Made it just as the recipe said and it was perfect. I am going to try this same thing with asparagus too. I'm betting it's just as good as the broccoli!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Very disappointed in this recipe. Way too dark and way too much filling for a 9" pan - it grew at least 2" out of the pan and looked like a muffin top. After 1 1/2 hours sitting in the oven it already had 3 massive cracks in it too so I took it out. I will not make this one again.

Peppercorn-Seasoned Steaks with Mustard-Wine Sauce

We enjoyed this recipe. I prefer seasoning a steak while preparing it like this recipe instead of marinating it. Some marinades I have been trying are so overbearing that you only taste marinade and can't even tell you are eating steak any more! Next time I will probably only use half the mustard but that is just a personal preference. It was delicious.

Blueberry Buckle

Stuffed Green Peppers I

I've made this twice now since I have had more peppers coming out of the garden then I know what to do with. The meat filling is so good my husband said I can just make the middle and pour it over more white rice with sauce and he would love it! The only change I made was to add regular tomato sauce over the peppers instead of the tomato soup.

Grilled Rib Eye Steaks

This marinade had a nice flavor but was too strong for us. We couldn't even taste the steak any more. I marinated it for 7 hours. Maybe if I marinated it only for an hour we would have liked it better.

Sloppy Joes II

One night I was making sloppy joes and realized I only had one can of mix but needed two. Instead of running to the store I popped on here to see if I had all the ingredients on hand to make it from scratch. We all enjoyed this so much I sent my daughter home with the can I did have. I won't be buying those any more! What a much better flavor and great use for my garden peppers!

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

My family loves this soup! I have made it several times and just realized I never rated it. I like changing it up with regular or spicy Italian sausage. I always tend to overcook the potatoes or maybe I slice them to thin but it still tastes delicious!

Herb-Crusted Chuck Roast

Wow...definitely one of my new favorites. It made a less expensive cut of meat turn into something spectacular. I have only bought chuck roasts a couple of times as I much prefer a nice ribeye, but in these difficult times I have been starting to shop much more carefully and buying only meats on sale. Since finding this site it is so easy to find great ways of preparing foods I haven't really made before. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this dish came out. The horseradish dressing really made this dish spectacular! I hope chuck roasts go on sale again REAL soon! :o)

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

This was delicious! As I read in another review I was looking for a recipe to use my Easter ham bone so I simmered that instead of using the chicken broth. The only complaint from my family was that I didn't make enough!

Chicken Scampi II

WOW! This was delicious. Our entire family enjoyed it. It was very easy and quick to make. I threw it over thin spaghetti. It was perfect as it was. I will definitely try this one with scallops and veggies for a meatless variety. Thanks for the recipe!

Grilled Scallop Salad

WOW...my new favorite salad! I made a few substitutions (because of what was available to me). The store only had bay scallops so I used those and just added a few more to the quantity. Since I was scaling the recipe for one I didn't want to turn on the grill. I just broiled the mushrooms and scallops in the oven for about 10 minutes. I also don't have a toaster oven so I just broiled the walnuts for about 3 minutes and I used a bag of mixed baby lettuces since I had it on hand. I made a balsamic vinaigrette dressing from this site a few days ago and used that. The flavors from all the ingredients blended so nicely together. I should have made more because my daughter's boyfriend smelled it cooking and I ended up having to share it with him. He had already eaten too! :) The olive oil and soy sauce gave the scallops such a nice flavor. The salad looked beautiful too. This is a great choice to make when having a friend over for a light healthy lunch. Thanks for sharing! I might just have to run back out to the store tomorrow for some more scallops!
