Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
Really enjoyed this soup - was rich but not over the top. I didn't have bouillon so used this instead (http://www.knorr.com/product/detail/245812/chicken-stock)...have been using that alot in soups/sauces as it doesn't have the bouillon chemical taste. Oh, also, I was going to throw in some bacon but didn't have any so I put some leftover summer sausage...everyone loved it. Will keep this in mind next time I buy potatoes.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
Love this recipe. Last time I made this I used leftover noodles that were already cold - the salad was tons more creamy. Will be doing that again for sure.

Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
Man was this a quick meal! I added an onion to the meat while cooking and a little garlic powder/black pepper in addition to the paprika and salt. Was a hit with the hubby and kids....definitely a keeper for busy weeknights. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Turkey Bow Tie Skillet

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
Skipped the celery and cooked more pasta in about 3 cups of chicken stock. Used the mexican version of stewed tomatoes and amped up the spices with paprika, cumin, oregano and a bit more chili powder (and S&P, too). As I do with most dishes like this, I finished it off with 2 tbsp of butter and about 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream. Lastly, tossed in some cheddar and monterrey jack cheese. Had a great flavor, was filling and my kids ate it with no complaints. Will definitely be making this again. Bon appetit!

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Used one chicken breast cooked in 2 cups water and one can of chicken broth. Substituted one can of cream of celery for a can of cream of chicken. One can of dough was NOT enough - use 2 - this is yummy - everyone is going to want more! Use a BIG pot so you can cook all the dumplings at once and they are not crowded. A keeper. Thanks for the recipe!

Sugar Cookie Glaze

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
I've been using this recipe for several years now and it has to be one of my all time favorites for kids to decorate with. It is just so wonderfully spreadable, super super easy and i love the sheen on the cookies. I've even piped images on a cake and used this to fill in the colors....this really is a winner.

Dirty Diapers

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
These were really tasty...a nice alternative to having to make hamburgers and easy for my little ones to handle. I followed the recipe exactly except had shredded cheddar instead of the slices and didn't have any pickles...it worked out fine and tasted great. I didn't cut them in half and only made one rolls worth...served with some soup and poof! a yummy dinner. And my little girls thought it was hilarious that they were called Dirty Diapers. I think this is a keeper and I might experiment next time with adding in some typical hamburger seasonings, A-1 and ketchup.
