Honey Garlic BBQ Sauce II

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
I've made this sauce several times and it always turns out great! It was especially good on grilled ribs. I prefer to use 1/4 cup of brown sugar. My whole family loves it. We love the spicy kick to it!

Chocolate Covered Cherries

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
I love this recipe! So much better than the store bought kind and they're not hard to make. I did as the other reviewers suggested and put mine in the mini muffin foils. I also added a tbsp of Chambord to the sugar confection. I plan to try some other liquers next time I make these...and I will make them again! This year, I've made over 200. I chill the confection before coating the cherries, and chill them again before coating in the chocolate. I had no problems whatsoever doing it that way. I chose to use the mini foils and was glad that I had done that because they would have leaked like others had said. I may try putting a drop of chocolate on my wax paper before placing the cherries. I'm sure that would seal the bottoms just fine. Thanks for an amazing recipe!! I'll enjoy the compliments when I hand out these cherries! It's a keeper!

Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
Awesome! I have made this recipe for 3 years now. The first year that I made it, I took it in as gifts for my coworkers. Now they ask me if I'm going to make them some peppermint bark again. One of the newcomers came to me and told me that he had heard that I was an awesome candy maker. This is the only candy that I had ever made for them...lol. I received many compliments on it, including that it was much better than the Ghirardelli Peppermint bark and it reminded others of Ande's mints, only better. Sam's club has Ghirardelli chocolate blocks, so I used that. I didn't use the canola oil and I used crushed candy canes. It's become a must have holiday recipe for me! Thanks for sharing!

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
The men loved these! I skewered with toothpicks and ended up turning up the heat to broil to crisp the bacon. Flipped them to get both sides crisped. I prefer pigs in a blanket, but the guys overruled me! Thanks for sharing.

Peanut Butter Balls IV

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Absolutely yummy! The maple flavor is a nice addition which reminds me of maple nut goodies. I used maple syrup because I didn't find any maple extract in the store. The consistency of the peanut butter mixture was a bit crumbly and I found it harder to form the balls, but it was perfect for the finished product. I tried a different recipe the last time that I made them and they were too gooey. I'll try leaving out 1/2 cup of the 10x sugar next time...and I will definitely be making these again!! I had Ghirardelli's white and double chocolate on hand, so I used both. I had the bright idea of adding some maple flavoring to the white chocolate, that did not work out at all. It had some type of reaction and the melted chocolate became a thick paste immediately.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
Absolutely perfect!! This recipe will be "The Cornbread Recipe" in my house. Great texture and flavor, and it sliced up beautifully. I didn't have buttermilk, so I substituted 1 cup of regular milk with 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar. Everyone in my family thought it was delicious. Thanks for sharing a great recipe Bethany!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
Delicious cornbread. Flavor was just what I was looking for, but I wanted something a little less crumbly. It went over well with my family, but they thought it fell apart too easy. Once it cooled, it sliced up nice. I'll make it again, but I'll add a little extra oil to see if it holds up a little better when it's hot. We like to eat it right out of the oven, with plenty of butter melting away on it. It was absolulely perfect for crumbling on top of a bowl of beans.

Graham Cracker Crust I

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
Simply and delicious! It was almost the same recipe that I use for my cheesecake. I use an extra 1/2 cup of graham crackers and no cinnamon in that recipe. One sleeve of graham crackers will give you the 1 1/2 cups. It made just enough to fill my 9 inch pie dish. I used the bottom of a glass to help press it down.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
I made these exactly as the recipe stated and they were delicious! I rolled them to about 1/4" thick before cutting, and even though I used 10X sugar as a flour when rolling, I found that I needed to place them in the freezer for several minutes before I could get them off the parchment paper. This will be my sugar cookie recipe from now on. No need to change a thing!

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
Easy to make and tastes delicious. As suggested by other reviews, I added 1 tsp vanilla and I warmed my cookie sheet in the oven to help it spread better. Thanks so much for the recipe! I've made several batches to give away as gifts. It's a keeper!

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
Quick, easy and flavorful! I had to substitute because I was out of a few things. Bisquick for the flour, half and half for the milk, 10 oz chopped broccoli. I had to go the boulliion cube route. Even with all my variations, we were very pleased with the results. Oh, and I only had a little food chopper, so I strained the broth into the run and only ran the veggies.
