Chicken Pot Pie IX
So my kids were over for dinner Sunday, and my son said that this was going to be my "new signature dish." Everyone really liked this recipe a lot! I made two pies and I followed the ingredients as is and added in one diced potatoe in the 'stew' mix (per pie) Each pie took one large whole skinless chicken breast diced. I cooked mix in broth and I used a lactaid whole milk in the sauce. Did the egg white thing and baked 375 for approx 45 min. I thank everyone for their suggestions - this is why this site is so fantastic. Looked beautiful even though I had some trouble putting on the top dough covering. I brought out a spoon for scooping the pie, but was pleasantly surprised to see that it cut like a real pie! We had five adults and we cut into the 2nd potpie as well. Would like to add the garlic powder next time. The prep time definitely took me more than 20 minutes, but I did make two pies and there is a lot of 'chopping and dicing.' I would just prep ME better next time. Thanks for great recipe.

Grilled Salmon I
We loved the salmon prepared this way! It was very moist and not 'fishy' It was not oily or overly sweet either. Used the ingredients exactly the same in recipe except I used reduced salt soy. I left fish in the marinade approximately 1/2 hr, instead of two, since I don't plan ahead, (obviously), and baked in oven for 12 minutes and broiled for 5 minutes as suggested. Came out perfectly. Made Jasmine rice and used some 'sauce' on top of it. Will make this recipe routinely and plan to make it for my 'company' meal next week. Thanks all.

Caramel Popcorn
Hmmmmm, let me see. I want to make something for work for the holidays and so, as a sacrifice to my co-workers (no tears please), I made a batch yesterday to, hmmmmmm, just test it out. I guess it's okay, because there isn't any left today! We love this treat......Used the 3 bags of 'natural' micro-pop, and followed Brian's directions carefully. Used the non-stick aluminum foil (great product), a large plastic container for stirring, and jelly-roll-cookie sheets for baking (baked the hour & stirred every 15 minutes.. Came out PERFECT!
