About this Cook
I learned to cook at an early age and canned peaches alone at the age of 10 when my Mother was in the hosp. I love to cook and love to try ethnic dishes. I'm currently adding Indian cuisine to the list.

My cooking tragedies
I've been very lucky in 30+ years of cooking. Not too many tradedies. A couple scourched items. I did put a brisket on the cool side of the BBQ for a good slow grilling and got busy, forgot all about it. 12 hours later it was a pillow of ash had to come up with something else to take.

Classic Pecan Pie
I've been making this recipe for years. Last year I added 1/4 cup of bourbon instead of the vanilla. It was delicious.

Beef Tenderloin with Ginger-Shiitake Brown Butter
I made this yesterday for my annual home Christmas party for several friends. I followed the recipe exactly and it was a big hit. Today I sliced the leftover filets and heated them in the leftover sauce and it was even better the second day. This is my new favorite.
